Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Marware Sportsuit Sensor Case for Nike + iPod Sport Kit for iPod nano 3G (Black)Customer Review: Awesome!! Summary: 5 Stars
I recently bought a pair of nike shox that were not compatible with the iPod sport kit. The Marware case allowed me to pick the shoes that I wanted without sacrificing the ability to use the sport kit which was on of the reasons that I bought an iPod in the first place instead of one of the less expensive mp3 players. The distance measurements are accurate as long as you attach it to your shoe properly (the directions tell you how). One more good thing about it is the fact that you don't have to take the insole out of your shoe every time you want to turn the sensor off.(I turn mine off every time to save the battery so the inside of my shoe would probably be worn out a lot faster)
I would recommend this product to everyone that is thinking about getting the sport kit and still wants to pick the shoes of their choice.
Customer Review: Works Great: A Marware Sportsuit Sensor Case for Nike + iPod Sport Kit Review Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased a Nike+ iPod Sensor Kit, but don't wear Nike shoes. Instead of purchasing a new pair of shoes, I decided to give the Sportsuit Sensor case a try. I'm glad I did.
The sensor case is pretty simple. Elastic material encases and secures the sensor to the moisture resistant neoprene and rubber strap. Once the sensor is inserted, run the strap under the lower shoe laces. Fold the sensor side up and fasten securely with the opposite side of the strap. To remove, undo the Velcro fastener, and pull the strap off the shoe.
If you are looking for an alternative to purchasing a new pair of shoes, this case is an excellent solution.
PROS:
Inexpensive alternative to a pair of shoes
Quality construction
Simple and effective design
CONS:
None
Customer Review: Works as advertised! Summary: 5 Stars
As long as you follow the directions EXACTLY as they are explained (and they are really easy so there are no excuses not to), then this product will work great. I have so far done three runs of 3+ miles, and each time my Nike+ has been off by less than .05 miles. To me that is very accurate considering people don't do much better with the expensive Nike shoes designed for the sensor. You just need to make sure its nice and tight, and down low on your shoe towards the toes. Make sure you also recalibrate after you start using this.
Bottom line, if you love the sneakers you already own, but want to use a Nike+ Sensor with your ipod, then this product is the way to go. Just make sure you do exactly as the instructions tell you to do.
Customer Review: It really works! Summary: 5 Stars
Not only did I purchase one of these for myself nearly a year ago, I've been buying them for family and friends who would like to use the Nike+ iPod sensor, but don't want to go out and buy the special Nike sneakers with the sensor cut-out in the sole of the shoe. Most of them have running shoes that they want to continue to use.
The product has held up really well (still looks new), works with any shoe laces (nice, secure fit) and is easy to quickly attach and detach. I like to run in several different sneakers - this is a great product that allows me to still enjoy my Nike + iPod sensor system (which is highly motivating and fun, by the way) and wear my Brooks, Asics, or Nike sneakers.
Customer Review: way better than the ones you tie through your laces Summary: 5 Stars
Before I got this, I had a case for my Nike+ iPod sensor that you had to lace through your shoelaces. Now, I use my running shoes for walking around occasionally because they're comfortable, but I don't want some huge lumpy ipod sensor sticking off my shoe when it's not doing anything. But it was a pain in the but to get that thing on and off. This one is SO much easier - just slip it under a couple rows of laces while your shoes are untied, velcro it closed, tie your shoes and you're off. it comes off just as easily once you're done running and untie your shoes, too. i've used it hundreds of times and it's never come off when I didn't want it to, and the sensor fits in there snug as a bug in a rug.
