Customer Review: Beware of cheap plastic parts

I have this tripod and over time all of the bottom leg clamps, which are plastic, have cracked in half, rendering this tripod unusable. Most every part is metal, except the one part that takes a huge pressure when the clamp flanges down. Should be metal. Once it goes, you can tape it up, but super glue will not hold. I bought a similar tripod (the digi 714B) with the same leg locking mechanism. After using it at 2 week long events, 2 locking mechanisms have broken and 2 more have cracked rendering the tripod virtually useless.
For an expensive (I paid almost $200) tripod this is unacceptable. Buyer beware.

Good sturdy well built tripod for the money. Be aware that a bubble balance level is not built on so you have to eyeball shots level. Also make sure you have a good grip on your camera when you release ball head lever to pan or tilt because there is no friction on ball when released.Customer Review: Awsome Tripod

I received mine today and I really satisfied with this purchase , my D80 and 70-300 combo fit perfect . Looks sturdy and well made from every angle, small and light as well I can't wait to go to Moab and take a tons of pictures.

I got this tripod for my nephew-in-law graduation. he really liked it. It has adjustable to different lenghts legs and very easy attach camera port.
When it is folded it is relatively not big in size and comes with a nice carry-in bag.
I would buy it again!
