Manforotto puts out consistently. The quality of this stand compared to the price leader Wescott which I also have is worth the cost if your in it for the long haul. The stand is really really light weight so if your going to extend it all the way (with a SB-900 or a reflector) your going to need to sandbag the base of the stand. If its windy and I'm not going to have to hike to far I really prefer the Manfrotto 1004BAC which is much sturdier and easier to weigh down.
