I put this on my old Bogen 3021 tripod replacing and old 3030 Bogen Pan-head. If you have never use Ballhead, get this. You would not regret this. It holds my setup - Nikkor 80-800mm D F2.8 with D50 and speedlight with no problems. Very good quality and good value. This is lighter and smaller than I expected (lighter than the 3030 Bogen 3-way Panhead). Highly recommended.Customer Review: Heavy, sturdy, quick release, versatile

Bogen has always made quality products over the years and with the many I have bought and used. In this case this ball head rapid connect works exactly as it should and I have used it atop my Gorilla SLR pod as well as on other SLIK, and Bogen mono and tripods. After years and years of shooting with a regular head this was my first experience with a ball. It's great! This particular one works very well. My only complaint is that it's a little heavy. I cart it up and down mountains with my tripod (also a Bogen-Manfrotto) and I wish it were as light as the super expensive ones.Customer Review: Great for motorcycles.

I bought this to mount a video camera to my motorcycle. Works well, and I can take camera easily when I stop. Very rugged and heavy.
Edit: This thing has been on my bike for three months now. Much rain. It still moves as smoothly as when it was new. It appears to be weatherproof. Very high quality.

I have this ball head mounted on a Manfrotto 190XPROB 3 Section Aluminum Pro Tripod and it is a fantastic combo.
The quick release system makes attaching or disconnecting the camera from the head quick and painless, and the lever makes it easy to reposition/rotate the camera a breeze with one hand.
