Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 3-Section Pro Carbon Fiber Tripod without HeadCustomer Review: Poor Construction and Poor Customer Support From Manfrotto Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this tripod because it was light and had the option for an attachable ballhead - which was bought seperately. I only had the tripod for a few months before the leg broke off and the stand covers fell off. I sent it in to get repaired and Manfrotto made an excuse why it wouldn't be covered by their warranty. I've had it now for 10 months and the same leg fell apart along with the stand covers after I had to pay to have it fixed. This tripod is fragile! For the type of money that was spent I would expect better construction and better service. I would recommend buying something else of better quality! Buyer Beware!
Customer Review: Sturdy and light Summary: 4 Stars
This is my first carbon fiber tripod and I really like the light weight. It is very sturdy in spite of how light it is. I still use my Manfrotto aluminum tripod at times when I'm not going to do a lot of walking. I feel it is sturdier and better able to resist minor movement from wind, etc. It's also a bit taller. I like having the ability to take the lighter tripod off on walks without getting weary from carrying its weight. I don't think the carbon fiber tripod (at least this size) is a total replacement of my heavier aluminum tripod. Both are great at what they do.
Customer Review: Good value Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent price for a carbon fiber tripod. The 190CXPRO3 is very light, feels sturdy and easy to manipulate. I've mounted my D300 with 70-200 2.8 on this tripod and while I had initial reservations about it's ability to handle the weight, it passed with flying colors. I used this recently at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and I had fun. It was light enough to move quickly from one spot to another with the camera mounted. I certainly appreciated the difference in weight from my old Manfrotto tripod when I was walking home with my camera bag containing the tripod.
Customer Review: Great tripod. Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using an aliminum Wal Mart tripod for years and I kick myself for not upgrading to a high end tripod a long time ago. This tripod is very light and very ridgid. The Q90 column is very usefull. With different leg angles, extensions, and the Q90 column, you can get the camera position you need on ANY terrain. with a little extra work, the column can be removed and inserted upside down for even more variety of shooting positions. Yes, Manfrotto should have included retractable spiked feet on this tripod, but it works very well none the less.
Customer Review: Perfect in weight and usability!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Hi,
before i bougt this tripod i had a Cullman Magnesit 525, but this one was to heavy to carry it on my shoulder for about hours. So i decided to buy the MANFROTTO CXPRO3 and that was absolutely the right decision. It is of great quality and really lightweighted and due to the carbonfiber it is absolutely stable when i use it with my NIKON D90 with MB-D80, SB-600 and NIKKOR 70-300 mm.
For me it is the best value for this money i could get!
(Sorry for my english, i am from Germany)
