This tripod legs are great: sturdy, versitile and very steady; but please note that for a $ 10.00 more the 055XB Classic can be 055XPROB you can pull out the center post to slide into a horizontal position, but even without the tripod legs works great as should be. It's a little heavier and has plastic parts that I would like to be more stronger and not plastic.
Description of Manfrotto 055XB Classic Tripod Legs (Black)
Built on the same ergonomically improved design as the 055XPROB, but without the horizontal center column feature, the 055XB is lighter in weight and slightly more compact. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks themselves have also been greatly improved.
