Customer Review: Stay away from this if you're running Vista

In order to get this to work with Windows Vista, you need to download the 14.95 euro BlueSoleil package from IVT. It does not work with Vista's in-box bluetooth stack.
It's a clear example of "you get what you pay for".
Also for XP users, search the web for ISSCBTA Code 43 - you'll find a host of users that have had issues installing this device.

I bought this low quality product (craftmanship etc) for a lower price. And literally it took my money for nothing.
I tried several drivers for this product and none of them worked. I couldn't make it work on XP and windows 2003 after wasting several hours on this.
I will never recommend this to anyone and suggest spend more money and get a good one.

Great functionality, no problems doing everything I wanted to. I recommend BlueSoleil for the software side of projects (specifically Wii hacks). If that is what you are trying to accomplish then this Dongle with that software on a Vista OS will function properly. Just remember to hold down the 1 & 2 buttons until your device is fully connected as an HID.Customer Review: This works under linux...

I got this in the mail, plugged it in, and dmesg showed a new active bluetooth device! I was surprised that for 3 bucks this worked. I'm currently running Fedora 7 with the latest updates. Works with my wiimote using the cwiid driver and can pair my phone (the only two bt devices I have).
I highly recommend this for the price!

The BlueSoleil software that is included is outdated and does not work with Samsung's PCStudio (3.11) software for my cellphone. Upgraded to current BlueSoleil but this item is not licensed to use it.
It was inexepensive, looks good, and works fine. It just doesn't play nice with the software I needed it for.
