Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Mace 80115 MACE Big Jammer Door BraceCustomer Review: Great item! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this after reading the other reviews, it works as described!
This is a solid unit that works great on my garage concrete floor. This unit is stronger than the door it supports. I tested the unit by trying to open the unlocked door with the mace door jammer installed, the bar held tight and the door stayed closed!
The rubber on the unit seems to be of good quality, and is pliable... but not overly pliable.
Customer Review: It will buy you extra seconds! Summary: 5 Stars
While this product will not prevent someone from breaking in by kicking down your door, it will give you extra seconds so that you can get to a phone, safe room, or your firearm. The bar is very easy to set up and put in place. Just make sure that the bar is NOT set up too long. It should be braced by the doorknob at an angle of no more than 30 degrees (strictly my opinion). Test it out before installing.
Customer Review: Great Product!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I put these things on every entry door of my house and love them. They give you a little extra time to react in the event of a home invasion type scenario. With enough force these can be defeated by an angry linebacker or a massive herd of zombies. Like I said, it will give you those few extra moments to reach your weapon and begin the process of eradicating the evil doers.
Customer Review: Don't waste your money Summary: 1 Stars
Tried this on our front door upon receiving it and my 11 yr old daughter was able to push the door in. The reason is the poor choice of materials used in the fork portion holding the door knob. Its soft rubber and when the door starts to press against it, it bends and eventually gives way. This is a complete waste of money. I wasted mine, don't waste yours.
Customer Review: Effective brace Summary: 5 Stars
Not much to go wrong with a door brace. This one is lightweight but very sturdy. Plenty of holes for adjustments. The bases grab well on my wood laminate and concrete garage floors that are smooth. I wondered if it should come with different bottoms on the base in case it was going over a deep carpet or a rougher floor surface like stone, for example.
