I got this for $12 (free shipping). I needed 3, but weren't so sure of the quality since the price is so low. So, I ordered 1 first. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality for any price. I've read reviews for some other similar products, and some complained the spring loaded pins would pop in allowing the jammer to collapse, which then allow the door to open. With this one, however, they gave me a fixed pin (lock pin) so I'll know this won't ever happen with this jammer. So, I highly recommend this product for anyone. I purchased two of these door braces for my mother, who lives alone. I thought they would make her feel more secure about someone trying to break in. The brace fits around the door knob very well, but the "slip on" rubber base that sets on the (tile) floor never really looks or feels very solid. It doesn't set completely flat on the floor, making me wonder just how secure it really would be if it ever had to perform it's function, which I hope never happens. If I purchased again, I would go for a brace with an adjustable (or swivel) base that would grip the floor better. Maybe this brace works better on carpet, but for a tile floor, I can only give it 3 stars.Customer Review: A Security Must

I purchased the Jammer Door Brace to secure a door connecting two college dorm rooms. The two rooms share a bathroom but their are no locks on either connecting door. I have several expensive items in my room and I wanted to make sure they were completely secure when I was out. I have a linoleum floor and the Jammer catches on it very well. After testing the product extensively it was clear that the only way into my room was by breaking the door off the hinges. The Mace 80115 Big Jammer Door Brace solves a common problem with outside doors and hotel doors. It is absolutely immovable because it cannot be dislodged by force. It essentially jams the door and more force makes it hold more tenaciousy. It's better than the old fashion barring of a door and it is great for doors with glass in them and other vulnerabilities. I bought one because it occurred to me that they are very difficult to kick in and resistive to force with with counter-force while static.Customer Review: Peace of Mind with the Jammer

I'm a 28 yr old woman who lives alone in a Apartment complex and The jammer gives me piece of mind! I bought two one for the front door and my sliding glass door. The only thing is that it doesn't fit the best in the sliding glass door but its wedged in there so tight that I'm not sure I'll ever be able to move it LOL and that alone gives me piece of mind!!! HAHA. Its a good product to have and would recommend this to everyone. Good Luck!
