Customer Review: Perfect to connect my Samsung Captivate to Car Head Unit

I bought this cable to connect my Samsung Captivate phone to my Car's head unit for Audio & Video. It works great! I am able to watch Youtube and see my Phone's GPS on Car's head unit now.
I tried another cable before this, which had bulky plastic on the 3.5mm side and it was not going in completely into my captivate - so it didn't work. But this one fits perfectly as it is very thin plastic.
Also, the connectors' color codes match (Yellow to Yellow) - unlike some other cables that I tried.
The quality of the cable is very good and the price is very cheap - shipped from United Inegral.
I would be more happy, if the cable came in black color!
Like other reviewer's said it may not work on new IPhones but there's nothing wrong with the cable - Apple wants $49 for something that's worth $3 so they blocked the generic cables on their devices.

This cable DOES NOT work with iPod Touch, or 3rd Generation Nano. It will play AUDIO, but WILL NOT display video. Apple has gone the route of locking out their products to only 1st party and 3rd party licensed accessories. They will not allow you the option to set "TV Out" unless the "proper" cable is used.
The cable is very sturdy and is made of good quality materials. On the back of the packaging, it says "WORKS WITH 4G AND 5G iPod WITH COLOR SCREEN". I give my rating based on the quality of the cable material, and price, but I cannot test out the quality of the video output since it is not compatible with my iPod Touch. In order to watch your videos on the TV with the Touch, you will now have to shell out $50 or so to buy Apple's overpriced cables and accessories.
AGAIN, NO VIDEO OUTPUT WITH THIS CABLE FOR 3RD GEN NANO AND IPOD TOUCH.

I purchased this cable when it was on sale for the bargain price of $0.29. Of course this price suggests a scam of some sort, but consider that the cheapest shipping rate is $4.99. So with a more reasonable shipping rate the product could sell for a higher price.
Overall I am pleased with this product. It is not close to perfect - at least for my cable I need to find a good place to set down the ipod because moving the ipod causes a fuzzy screen. At least there is a clear picture, I just need to move the ipod around. (A modern day case of the bunny ear antennae.) The audio portion of the cable is not affected however.
If and when you curse at this product remember that it's cheap! Lower your expectations. It will get the job done (with your help adjusting it).

The inexpensive cable (similar cables elsewhere cost upwards of 40 dollars) turned my 30gb video iPod into a part time DVR. I don't see how anyone could pass on this deal!?! The only bad reviews I've read are from people who have later than 5.5 generation iPods (iPod Classics or touch) this won't work with their model but if you have any of the earlier models then this cable is essential. I ordered mine with an additional travel charger which cost only 2 dollars extra (bringing the order up to a grand total of 7.99 shipped!!) this is convenient because you can plug in your iPod while you are displaying videos and it won't discharge in the middle of the viewing. This is the best $1.67 I've ever spent.

This cable is great for the 5th generation ipod I use and now I can watch it on TV instead of watching it on the computer like I use to.The picture is great and looks like a DVD and this thing is so awesome and now its easier to watch movies,music videos and anything else.At first I only had the audio working not the video.You have to switch the video settings on the ipod.Another thing I like about this cable is that the other end can be used to charge the ipod while you watch the video,I think all the cable have this but it's nice.This ipod cable is cheap so you don't have to spend $50 on other ipod cables.Just make sure you know what generation ipod it is before you buy this because it works with 4th,5th,& 5.5 generations only not the newer ones.
