Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Red Laser Pointer High QualityCustomer Review: Finally! Summary: 4 StarsI, like others, was looking for a new laser for my cat. I had been buying ones that take watch batteries, and the toy was actually cheaper then the replacing batteries, so I collected quite a compendium of them. I found this little buddy and I am so happy!
The AAA batteries seem to power this guy forever. My cat asks to play with it constantly, so I'm impressed that they haven't died yet. The light is nice a bright, certainly not as bright as a mag light, but could be seen in a bright, sunny room just as well as a dark one.
However, the connection with the power source is a little weak, meaning sometimes you have to hold the laser at the right angle to get the light to shine as bright as normal. That doesn't entail much, though, holding it normally works, but you can't always hold it at weird angles. Also, the black paint chips off if you have long nails. It scratches off easily. Of course, it's still a fine laser. I still like it after all that.
Customer Review: More than adequate for price Summary: 4 StarsVery basic & easy to use. First one did not work well, but company sent a replacement with no problem. New one works fine.
Customer Review: BAD QUALITY Summary: 2 StarsIt's cheap. But that's what you got it for.
It worked good at first, but then I found out that the light became really dim sometimes, for no reason. If I rested it for a while, it began to work again. Really annoying. I don't want to stop in the middle of a presentation and adjust the stupid laser pointer.
That's fine. At least I can still use it.
One day, I put the laser pointer in my pencil bag (made of fabric, it's soft and can protect the contents inside).I carelessly dropped the bag onto the floor. Shortly after, when I used the laser pointer, it no longer worked. NOT AT ALL.
Today, when I pressed the button again, oh, working again.
What's wrong with it? Nothing is wrong. It's just cheap. And that's what you got for five bucks.
Customer Review: Pretty Nifty Cat Toy Summary: 4 StarsI recently inherited an 8 year-old declawed cat. Sadly, she doesn't seem to know how to play. The "official" cat toys are beyond her, although one catnip toy does seem to disappear every now and then. I've dispared of teaching her how to play and since her diet is much improved over her previous home, she has gained a couple of pounds. Kitty must have some exercise before she explodes! Reading through lists of various members, I stumbled across recommendations of a laser light as a cat toy. Who knew? Well, partial success has occurred. She actually has chased the red light around for a minute or two. I have hopes that play time will increase.
My only complaint about this laser light is that the wee little button must be held down at all times. The problem with this is that it really is a very small button and, while moving the light around, the button escapes my finger. Perhaps with practice, my finger will improve on holding the button captive.
I have rechargeable batteries at the ready.
Customer Review: It's ok Summary: 3 StarsI was looking for a laser pointer for my cats because the ones that I get at the pet store die so quickly and I wanted one that lasted a while. This one has a good steady beam, and the batteries have been much longer lasting than those from the smaller pointers, but sometimes the beam will cut in and out, even though my finger is still on the button. It's kindof annoying, and I try to move my finger around but it just comes back whenever it wants to. It doesn't do it all the time, though. Overall, not too bad, but I'm definitely glad I didn't pay the full price before reduction.
