I recently bought my first Kindle and ordered this cover after studying all the reviews. I find the product disappointing for several reasons. The leather looks cheap, rather like a poor imitation of a better product. It reminds me of a knock-off handbag that didn't capture the quality of the original. The Kindle doesn't fit into all four corners. You have to leave off one. Trying to jam it in is like trying to put a twin mattress cover on a full size bed. Finally, the cover is heavy and bulky. If I had it to do over, I would order the Amazon product or spring for a Cole Haan.Customer Review: It fits! The new covers fit the K2!

We all know by now the K1 cover is too small for the K2. My cover arrived well ahead of my K2, so I didn't know this until the 30-day return policy was well-expired. As soon as my K2 arrived and I realized the K2 was too big for this cover, I contacted M-Edge and asked them if I could return the cover even though the 30 days had lapsed. I sent the email at 1:00 a.m. Saturday and I had a response by mid-afternoon Saturday. M-Edge is shipping replacement covers on a first-come/first-served basis beginning the first part of March with certain conditions (unused, original packaging, etc...) and they've instructed me to return mine as soon as possible in order to get a new cover as soon as they become available. According to M-Edge, anyone who tells you the new M-Edge covers don't fit the K2 isn't correct because they simply are not yet available.
M-Edge was extremely responsive and timely to my inquiry and they've really gone out of their way to accept the return on the K1 covers particularly when you think about how much product the company is going to have to eat. While my initial reaction was disappointment with the company and how the cover fits, I could not have had a more drastic change of attitude towards M-Edge in how they've handled the return of the K2 covers.... They've won my vote of confidence.
Update -- I received my new cover within five business days and the new cover fits the K2 beautifully. They improved how the K2 fits within the cover and I would certainly buy this product again.
Customer Review: Getting caught in the switch to Kindle 2

This cover is very nice. What isn't nice is that in January when I ordered Kindle, a cover, a light, etc... all in one order, the cover and light were rushed to me, and then I was informed that I'd be getting a Kindle 2 sometime in late February. Great! However, Amazon neglected to inform me that the leather cover I'd just purchased would only fit a Kindle 1, leaving me stuck with something that doesn't fit. When I placed my order, Kindle 2 differentiations were not being made... it was just "buy all this crap for your Kindle"
And all the covers for Kindle 2 are butt ugly, look like something you'd take camping with you.

... if this will work with a Kindle 2? I got this red leather cover for Christmas, ordered at the same time as my Kindle 1 (which is still on backorder). I have now been informed by Amazon that I will be receiving the Kindle 2 instead of my original order, which is fine, but I wonder if it will fit in this cover.Customer Review: Vast improvement over original Kindle case!

I bought the beautiful blue one and find it holds the Kindle much more securely than the original Kindle case. I rarely use the elastic strap for the upper right because it's easier to turn on and off without it, but the Kindle is still very secure. I love the slip-in strap detail on the front, and the pockets on the inner left of the case are very convenient. The bright royal blue is easy to find. Highly recommend -- worth the extra money! The only complaint I have is that the upper left-hand corner seems to push against the Page Back button a bit as it's tight, but that button isn't well-placed anyway and is corrected in the Kindle 2. I just bought that and am hoping that this case will work for that too even though it's thinner. I don't see why not with the three leather corner holders and the elastic strap. And I forgot to mention the light! The vendor has a custom-made light that slips into the back of the case that will bend up and allow you to read in the dark. It's perfect! Just love it.
