This product attaches to the bathtub at one single point. It can pivot on this point easily. You cannot screw it down firmly enough so that it will not move back and forth when force is applied.
It took me two months, five e-mails, going to the post office to mail this, and $23 postage back and forth to get the refund.
That said, the company made the refund without any hassel at all. I would not hesitate to buy from them again if they were selling another product.

Got this in 4 days. Very heavy duty. 2 minutes to install. Locks with no wiggle on tub. Makes it easy to step over tub/shower with bad hip. Worth every penny. Costs twice as much at local medical store. Highly recommended.Customer Review: A reliable safety gadget

I bought this for my husband who, at 82, insists on getting in and out of the tub shower rather than use the walk-in... He is very resistent to change so I wasn't even sure he'd use it. However, he now admits that this Grab Bar is very useful. He feels much more secure getting in and out... and I do too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so easy to install and stays tightly attached to the tub. At this price, one of my best buys!!Customer Review: easy install

I researched this and other products for my dad. He needed help getting into the tub. He wanted the suction cup rail. After reading about them I wanted something secure. I saw the metal ones but I didn't think they would be good if it was wet. I found this and he loves it. He installed it himself! He has his toilet next to the tub and uses this to help him get up. It was worth every dollar!
