Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Wireless Music System for PCCustomer Review: good value but limited use Summary: 3 Stars
I bought the logitech through a supplier in New Zealand, both because it had good reviews and was a good price. We use it to broadcast our iTunes library to the home stereo.
I was unable to source multiple receivers (as advertised) in New Zealand, so I had to purchase a second receiver from the US. I didn't think that was cool.
More importantly, I understood the phrase "Expand your system to multiple rooms. Music receivers for additional speaker systems are available." to mean that the same music could be played in different rooms simultaneously. The fact that my wife and I cannot listen to music while one is in the lounge and the other in the office is disappointing.
Customer Review: Sweet deal! Summary: 5 Stars
I was recently shopping around for wireless systems for my home to no avail. I haven't used CDs since about 1995, so it was crucial that I could listen to the music directly from my computer. Then I found this baby. I did some more searching and purchased it for about $60 from Amazon. I also had the freedom to order the system I had my eye on for some time now. Both products arrived the same day and I had no problem whatsoever hooking up the wireless portion of the music system. It was simply plug and play. Within minutes I was listening to my fabulous music collection with amazing sound quality. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to listen to their music wirelessly.
Customer Review: Cheap way to get music from PC to Real stereo system Summary: 4 Stars
I like it. Plug the box into your amp using stereo cables, stick USB stick into your PC (after adding the drivers as part of the install), change your music source to Logitech, and start playing, its pretty basic. The only thing that is a slight pain is when you don't want to use the stereo, you typically have to manually change the music source, so you kep doing that back and forth. I broke the part that sticks into the USB on the PC (I had it stuck in directly and it sticks out like a flash drive, so I knocked it while moving the PC). I was happy enough to buy a second system. If they could redesign the PC stick to be just a nub, so it couldn't get broken, it would be perfect.
Customer Review: works flawlessly (one caveat) Summary: 5 Stars
I have found this to be everything I was looking for. Sound quality is fantastic-- no audible difference to standard cabling. The one caveat is that, at least on a PC, iTunes (though not all media programs) can only use the default soundcard (i.e. the Logitech device). Therefore you'll hear the beeps and whatnot from your PC. I've found a freeware program that solves a lot of the issues with this for me, it's called "Quick Sound Switch" and it allows you to change the default soundcard from the taskbar without restarting your computer. You do have to restart itunes once you've switched, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience and performance this product provides.
Customer Review: Pretty good but, only as good as your sound card Summary: 4 Stars
Product's not bad and definitly worth the $[...] price tag. How ever not that your sound card plays the an important roll in sound quality and clarity. The wireless capabilities are flawless and I was able to play music from computer upstair on on my hometheater in the family room a floor below. Sound quality was good. This computer has am OK sound card. I tried a laptop with a lower grade soundcard and the sound clarity was subpar. I wonder how it would sound with a top notch soundcard.
Positives: Wireless capabilites and cost
Negtive: Dependent on sound card quality for output sound and clarity. Invest in a qiality soundcard if you are a music fan.
