Customer Review: great mouse
Summary: 5 Stars

This mouse is great.

It connected with ease. I just added it through my Bluetooth menu without using the CD, and my HP computer recognized it automatically. It remains connected, and I have not experienced any of the problems others have mentioned. I even changed the batteries just for the heck of it, only to see if it is still connected when I do so--and it was. I say I changed the batteries just for the heck of it, because I didn't need to. I have had this mouse for about two months, and it is still running on the two AA original batteries--the battery life is the best I have ever seen.

It really does work on all surfaces also (except mirrored or clear glass). It works best using a mouse pad, but also works great directly on the desk, on my leg, on glossy surfaces, on the bed, on hardwood floor, on the carpet--everywhere. Of course, the accuracy does depend on the surface--but it still works very well on carpet and glossy surfaces, which I did not expect. On most surfaces, you don't need to move the mouse that much to move it across the screen, which is very convenient for me.

It jumps ever so slightly when it wakes up, if you don't use it for a little while, but it is hardly noticeable and does not impede work, like others have mentioned.

I have not seen the build quality degrade any, even though I just throw it in my bag whenever I go anywhere. This is a very solid mouse.

Customer Review: Road Warrior that uses almost no battery juice
Summary: 5 Stars

April 19, 2010 update: This is a much better mouse than I ever imagined. This light weight, comfortable, rugged mouse has been on the road with me for over a year. I've changed the batteries three times, this thing hardly uses any battery power - even if you leave it turned on. Two colleagues have the same experience. And, the paint has never chipped on this, and I toss the silly thing around.

Yep, this is one heck of a great netbook mouse. It's got a great weight, feel, size. Just love this thing.

It goes so perfectly with my Aspire One, the color is perfect.

There was a weird moment pairing this mouse with a work computer - not able to install the Logitech software. The mouse required a bluetooth pairing passcode. Normally those are 1234 or 9999. In this case, the code is 0000. After entering that code, voila, it worked great.

I used a Microsoft notebook laser mouse with the big adapter. This is a great slimmer replacement. I like the two AA batteries in this, they add the right amount of weight.

Two adapters that work perfectly with this:
Cirago BTA3210 Class 2 Micro Bluetooth Adapter (Black Tip)
IOGear GBU421 Bluetooth 2.0 USB Micro Adapter

Customer Review: Cordless mouse that works
Summary: 5 Stars

Pros:
Function
Compact
Bluetooth
Battery Life

Cons:
My son runs off with it sometimes since there is no cord attaching it to the computer
Sometimes takes a second to wake up when it has gone to sleep

Who should buy this mouse? Anyone looking for an accurate wireless mouse for a Desktop or Laptop that wants to keep a USB port free.

My largest complaint with wireless mice is they use proprietary wireless formats that requires you to tie up a USB port with the receiver. This one does not. It uses Bluetooth that comes built into most newer computers, and it works great. To get it working on my iMac, all I had to do was put in the batteries and turn it on. The computer discovered it right away.

I have been using it for a month straight and I am still on the first set of batteries. This is far better than the Bluetooth Apple mouse I had. The movement of the cursor is precise, and everything works great. The feel of the buttons and scroll wheels is great (better than the mighty mouse in my opinion).

This mouse is the best investment in a mouse that I have made in years, and it frees up a USB port, and those with iMacs know we don't have enough powered ports. It was worth every penny.

I use this mouse without installing any of the software that came with it.

Customer Review: Attention Mac Users
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this product to add to my Macbook and to add more availability to USB ports. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed by the tracking of this product. The speed at which the mouse tracks is unbalanced. For example, when I set the tracking speed in System Preferences to the lowest tick possible, you can barely move the mouse around the screen and in practice becomes unusable. If you move it one tick to the right, the track speed increases but it's still feels too fast. When you start targeting the objects on your screen, the pointer always ends up half centimeter above or below what you intended. This does not sound like much but it's terrible when you navigate your computer. The tracking is so disproportionate that when you move a window around, the window looks slightly choppy as you move it. This is due to the tracking of the mouse being far too sensitive. Trust me I don't have nervous hands! I plug in a wired / wireless mouse, or Mighty Mouse, and the tracking is on point. I don't know if this is something in Logitech's Bluetooth mice but I have the V450 Nano Cordless which I use on it and I love that thing. I just wanted a Bluetooth mouse of the same caliber to free up my USB ports. The V450 is more comfortable and accurate than this mouse but you lose a port but I still prefer to do that than to use this mouse. I don't recommend the V470 for Mac users.

Customer Review: Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks Review
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this mouse to replace the clunky Logitech optical (non-cordless) mouse I was using on my iMac. I chose Logicteck because of the excellent quality of their products. Besides for Logitech's broad spectrum of design, they also offer a great selection of mice from those with cutting edge features to those made for basic functionality.

The V470 is a bit darker in color than the advertised picture portrays. So if you've fallen for the blue light glossy blue then be aware that the actual mouse is more of a midnight metallic blue.

As for functionality this bluetooth mouse comes equipped with a four buttons:
-Left click
-Right click
-Middle click
-Tilt Left/Right click wheel

The tilt left/right click wheel button allows the user to scroll right and left in a window similar to the normal scrolling function of the click wheel.

If you're not satisfied with these options, it's okay. Logitech provides the mouse with a "Device Control Center" (a driver program) that allows you to program your the buttons of your mouse to do whatever you want. This includes opening programs.

All in all the Logiteck V470 Bluetooth cordless mouse is a great buy for those with bluetooth capable computers, regardless of whether they're a laptop or desktop.
