Customer Review: Great mouse, but USB storage will drain the battery

The mouse is great and works exactly as it's advertised. I'm a big fan of logitech so I was excited when I found this little guy for $10 at Target--except for the fact that the only color they had left was pink. The only thing that confused me about the unit was that every time I put the USB stick in the dock and then pulled it out to use it later, the power switch was turned to "on". Turns out that the USB stick locks in to the mouse with two grooves on both sides and another towards the bottom tip, which grabs the power switch as it locks in. That groove slides the power switch up and to the right turning the mouse to the "on" position. Thought that was an interesting find. They may want to consider switching the position of the bottom groove so the battery doesn't get drained while the mouse is not in use. Again, awesome product but somewhat annoyed that I can't use the USB storage on the mouse without draining the battery. Customer Review: Ab Per

Absolutely perfect. This Logitech cordless optical mouse is the best I've used since the beginning of my computing in 1989. Inside it I use one AA 2000mAH rechargeable battery (which might extend the life to over a year). The ergonomic design is effortless, the scroll wheel is efficient, the on/off switch on the underside provides long battery life and the USB plug-in connection is simple. This one is absolutely perfect for my computing.Customer Review: The best mouse

Bought this for my laptop. Then the Microsoft wireless mouse started acting up on my desktop so I tried it there. It worked like a charm. It is smaller than a usual desktop mouse but actually I like better its feel. So now I am buying another one. Probably will buy a third one for spare. The price is right at about $20 on sale.

I just downloaded setpoint (or whatever) to get the mouse moving. It is not as easy as the insert says, "--- go to [...]... Select V220 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks, choose operating system, select download." V220 is not the model number, which is a bit confusing.
Also, the "on" light dies after 2 or 3 seconds so I was not sure if the battery was okay or not. I finally gave up and decided that it was supposed to die out.

Logitech has yet to let me down. They seem to have long lasting and the best combos for keyboards and mice. Everyone that asks me what brand they should use for their keyboard and mice I tell them Logitech. This mouse I use for my laptop and have dropped it 6 times and it still works great and doesn't crack. The batteries last a long time if you buy the decent ones. All of their products are easy to clean and last and last. I've had one keyboard and mouse for 8 years. This mouse is great.
