Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech V200 Cordless Mouse - Silver ( 931379-0403 )Customer Review: Not a fan of this mouse Summary: 3 Stars
I was given this mouse at work to use with my notebook computer. I'm not happy with it, at all. See the arrows on the buttons that point outward? For those of us who have been using mouses everyday for who knows how long, it feels exactly like grime, and it can't be taken off. It's very annoying. Who needs those arrows? What function do they serve? Also the USB plugin attaches to the bottomside of the mouse when it's not plugged into the PC/notebook - since they say "business class" that implies mobility. I throw it in my laptop case and half the time it falls off so I have to dig through to find it (the mouse itself is much easier to find, of course). Finally, the mouse seems to go crazy from time to time, where I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get things working. I have a brand new lenovo, no third party software, 2 weeks old - it's the mouse, not me. Anyway I'm very happy with my Logitech (same company) MX Revolution that I use wirelessly for my workstation and the wired Optical Notebook Mouse I have for personal notebook use. Amazon sells both - I recommend you take a look at those before committing to this one!
Customer Review: 12 Months Battery Life, Wow! Summary: 5 Stars
Logitech and Microsoft always make good products but this one from Logitech is something. I have 4 computers at home so am always looking for the best input devices.
Just picked this up from best buy! I had the Wireless Notebook Mouse from Microsoft that just did not meet my expectations. After using it for a couple of hours, my hand would get tired. When I read about this guy a couple of days ago, I was intrigued by the 2.4GHz technology and the 12 MONTH BATTERY LIFE. I have been using it for a couple of days and it feels very good. The receiver is so tiny compared to every other notebook mouse that I have seen.
Because of my 4 computers, wifi network and multiple cordless mice, I always used to have interference problems! Not any more, not only did this mouse not skip, it also worked from 15 feet away. The receiver snaps to the bottom of the mouse and switches the mouse off.
I love the feel of the wheel, the battery life and the smallest receiver that I have laid my eyes on! Good job Logi. My only criticism is that the plastic package was really hard to open.
Customer Review: Great notebook mouse Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great notebook mouse. Battery life is great. it's small, but form factor is great. very responsive, best notebook mouse i've used.
Now, the reason I gave it 4 stars. Mainly because I believe this is a design flaw. The receiver snaps into the bottom of the mouse, shutting the mouse off and making it easy for travel. That's terrific. However, there's no other way to turn this mouse off. Not an issue if you're only using it to travel, however If you sit down for hours at a time, this may not be the mouse for you. There are times where I leave where I'm sitting, and want to turn the mouse off. The old logitech notebook mice had a switch on the bottom of the mouse to turn it off. So if you left where you were sitting, you could conserve battery life rather easily. There's no such feature on this, and removing the receiver from your USB is a less than optimal solution.
Other than that, great mouse.
Customer Review: Decent mouse with a huge flaw Summary: 3 Stars
I'm on a quest to find the perfect wireless notebook mouse. As of yet, I have not found one that is a good every-day mouse and yet portable. The biggest flaw to this mouse is it's receiver. The snap on feature works fine, but ads bulk to the bottom of the mouse. The biggest problem is that it breaks easily. I've broken 2 of the receivers, now, both times they were attached to the computer and broke when lightly bumped. Not dropped or slammed against a doorway, but when moving it on my desk and it catches on something and bends or cracks where the USB port meets the receiver.
Pros:
Easy to install
All features work
Mouse itself is durable
Long battery life
Good mouse range
Cons:
Weak receiver construction
Feel in hand (subjective, I know)
Receiver not integrated well into base
Customer Review: fantastic device...BUT see update Summary: 5 Stars
Ok, so its a mouse whats so big deal about it right. Well, the ease and comfort of using this is unbelievable. The range is really nice and I've tried on quite a few different surfaces and so far it has passed all of them. Fits on my hand perfectly even though my hand is not that small, so people shouldnt be concerned about the size of this mouse.
Update: Ok, only after 2 months of use, the mouse died, yes that is the right word. Did all the checks mentioned on Logitech's website but all attempts to revive the mouse failed. So called customer service, a non 800 number, and after a prolonged wait talked to a live person. He said 90% of the customers never call back regarding this mouse, and he promptly agreed to send a new one. I am happy with that response, but I still need to see if this mouse can last more than 2 months this time
