the v200 is a very good mouse for the following reasons (as compared to some of the microsoft mice i have used):
-lot faster and more sensitive to wrist motion--very important for a wireless mouse because of its additional weight.
-lighter
-love the 'swap buttons' feature which lets me use the mouse with my left hand. as a hardware engineer who uses the mouse 10 hours a day, it's a really useful feature. didn't find it on MS mice
-compact and easy to carry around
there's one thing against it but that is a problem that every wireless mouse currently available has: inspite of it's lighter weight compared to other wireless mice, i still feel a sense of relief when i use my wired mouse occasionally because of its light weight. i wish these things ran on 'button' batteries. that would literally erase the market for wired mice once and for all...

I didn't know how much I needed a new mouse until I got one. The cord on my ancient Intellimouse drove me insane. I tried all kinds of rigs to anchor the cord so that it would not create that annoying pull while you try to mouse around but nothing worked for long. Now I am FREE!!! This mouse is only slightly smaller than the old one and I use it for my desktop, not for a laptop. The USB transmitter is plugged into the front port of my PC several feet away and the signal comes to the mouse just fine. It is really good looking and moves so smoothly I'm thinking maybe my old one was all pitted or something, maybe just worn down. Anyway, this new mouse is worth every penny. Get it and a compact keyboard and you will be amazed at how comfy you can be at your computer!Customer Review: My favorite mouse so far

I'm a guy who tends to have a lot of stuff on his desktop, so a cordless mouse is great. doesn't catch on papers, books, etc. This one works super smooth, good enough resolution, and is just about the right weight. I just ordered two more of these because I can't find them in any of my local stores, and my only complaint about it is that it could be a little bigger to fit my admittedly large hands better. But all the cordless mice that I can find locally are even smaller, and the newer Logitech one that I bought recently is annoying me because it is *so* small. The only downside to this is that the transmitter is fairly large compared to the newer ones which you don't even have to remove from your laptop when you put it in its case.Customer Review: A jewel of a find.

My Kingston wireless gave out and I found myself suddenly in the market for a new wireless mouse. Of course, Logitech has been for me, the authority. So this product was an automatic sell for me.
What I didn't know at the time was how much of a gem it would turn out to be. I can use it anywhere, on almost any surface, and the best thing of all is that after 4 months, I am still waiting on the 2 supplied Duracell batteries to die.
I miss the thumb button - but that's not something you find on a laptop mouse anyway; and the ergonomics are a little awkward for small hands. The side scroll is one of the best features however and I would recommend this product to anyone - laptop or not.

I just bought myself a laptop for college and knew that tiny touchpad would just not do it for me. So I checked out the reviews here and decided on this Logitech wireless mouse; I don't think any product I've ever bought has so exceeded my expectations. It really does work 10 meters away, but by that point, you can't even see the screen!!! During downtime between classes I can even impress my classmates with how perfect I can control Unreal Tournament or CounterStrike wirelessly... pretty cool. Plug and play, a perfect weight with the batteries, wonderful scrolling, and the usb is small, cool and most importantly, unobtrusive. Before I type anymore, I'll use it to press "Submit"!:)
