Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech V20 Notebook Speakers (Black)Customer Review: Logitech V20 Notebook Speakers Summary: 5 Stars
These speakers are great. I have them connected to a Dell Studio Laptop. I use them mainly to listen to [...]. It blows in internal laptop speakers away. Good bass, and a very good overall sound. They will fill an average room with more than adequate sound. They are great for streaming movies on the laptop as well.
Plug and play.
One small detail is that sometimes I must go to control panel, and in sound devices, I must choose these speakers. Once done, they continue to be primary speakers until I either disconnect them, or change back to internal speakers.
The price on Amazon varies greatly some as high as 58 dollarsLogitech V20 Notebook Speakers - PC multimedia speakers and some as low as 40 dollars, be careful. Logitech V20 Notebook Speakers (Black)
Customer Review: Excellent sound Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried several speakers for laptops. All had a small, tinny sound.
I was skeptical about the reviews of these speakers and had some trepidations
when I opened the box. They seemed too small.
To my great surprise they well exceeded my expectations. Sound is clean, crisp,
with a reasonable amount of bass given the size of the speakers. Set-up could
not be easier - speakers have a built-in foldout stand. Simply hook them together
and plug it into a UBS port. Instant stereo sound. Nice touch is the volume control
on the speaker - don't have to fiddle with the computer, just set it on maximum
volume the first time.
To round it all off, the speakers come with a compact, hard surface traveling
case; easily fits into a pocket of a laptop case. The whole package is very well
thought out.
Price is remarkably low given the above quality.

Customer Review: Two years old and going strong Summary: 4 Stars
I needed a pair of speakers to go with my laptop (iBook G4) and I didn't want the hassle of an extra AC adapter, and these speakers fit the bill. Some of my friends have cute portable speakers that are very small, but the sound suffers accordingly (especially when they obliviously push them far beyond their capabilities). These may be larger than some portable speaker sets, but they sound great and the carrying case is super handy. My major beef with these speakers, though is the cabinet design. Certain resonant low-end frequencies cause the speakers to buzz and walk across my desk. It's annoying on two levels.
Somewhat related: There's something funky with Mac's DVD Player app: Loud sounds in movies will cause the sound level to drop drastically and then gradually come back to the set level. I thought using the USB output might mitigate the problem, but this is the case whether I'm using the speaker output or the USB port. FWIW.
Customer Review: No depth and short lived Summary: 2 Stars
Even if these speakers had functioned for longer than two weeks, I would not have been very impressed. Everyone here has exclaimed how much bass they have, which is very inaccurate. Versus the laptop speakers they might sound good, but are overall very weak for the size.
The included cords did not reach from one side of my desk to the other, and I do not have some obnoxiously large "L" shaped desk. The wires are ridiculously short.
The controls mounted to the top of the speaker were very convenient, but nearly impossible to press. I would have to hold the speaker still and press firmly for the button to function, which then turned into more effort than what it was worth, and made more sense to grab the mouse.
The only reason I didn't give these a single star is the USB convenience and the nifty carrying case. That, and I only had to drop a Hamilton on them. That would be a ten-spot y'all.
Customer Review: The Company Won't Even Try to Help! Summary: 1 Stars
Well they worked great for the first 30 minutes and then NO SOUND. This is the second set I got. The first time windows could not recognize the driver no matter what I did. They say they're compatable with Vista but I chose to differ. I went to the Logitech website and on the forum there they have about five pages of complaints just about this product. Why hasn't Logitech looked into this? These speakers have been out for a few years now. To make it so bad all of the components are showing working properly. The driver shows installed properly and the sound mixers volume moves but no sound comes out. Looks like a lot of people will continue to flood the internet complaining about these speakers and giving Logitech a bad reputation. Hopefully in the near future they will find it in the kindness of their heart to stop the lying and provide a solution. But I'm returning mines for a refund and never purchasing from them again.
