I like having a mic seperate from headphones and this has provided me with just what I needed.
It doesn't take up much space and the sound quality for it is just fine.. no distortion or any problems of the kind. Quite sensitive when necessary. I've talked with a friend over Skype while wondering around a... 250sqft room(?) without any difficulties being heard.

I bought this mic to use for recording my affirmations on a soundwave program and it does a great job of recording my voice clearly. The mic is quite sensitive and easily picks up background noise so you'll want to make sure it's very quiet if you're using it for recording.
It took some time to get the angle just right for recording. If you're too close, or speak directly into the mic, it will pick up the sounds of your exhale or when you're using any words that begin with consanants. For example, the word plenty will have a loud "puh" sound like you're blowing into the microphone.
I found the best way to record is to place the mic at a 45 degree angle to my mouth and speak about 2 inches away from the top, so I'm not speaking directly into it but my voice carries across the side of it, if that makes sense.
I don't have any complaints; the mic stores easily on my desk, it was extremely easy to connect to my PC with the USB connection and it's well built. I won't be surprised if this thing lasts several years.

Not a lot to say because it just works perfectly. You plug it up, you may have to go into your Control Panel and make it the default microphone depending on your computer, but for most of us you plug it in and it works right off the bat no problems. I read a few reviews that are trying to compare it to a recording mic it would seem. This is a mic for voice and communication and it is fantastic at that, good volume, great range (means you don't have to talk directly into the mic) and normal conversations are reproduced perfectly. I use it mostly for gaming communication but it would work equally well at any other voice application, if you want to sing you gonna have to spend more than $20 folks :) EnjoyCustomer Review: Great Sound Quality
