Customer Review: This DOES Work With Windows VISTA.
Summary: 5 Stars

I read a couple of reviews saying that this item does not work with Windows Vista, that put a hold on my purchase, but after reading one of the good reviews saying that it does work and saying how to get it to work, I thought I would give it a shot. The item arrived, I plugged it, the computer read it right away and it was installed. I proceeded to my sound recording program and tried it, the volume was low.

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE IT WORK; I then moved onto reading the reviews of the people who have said that it does work with Vista, and here is how I got mine to work. Go to control panel, type in sound and go to your "system sounds" a window with three tabs should pop up, go to the tab that reads "recording" when you get there, you should see something other than your new microphone selected as default, just change it, go to properties and change the volume to a higher one (mine was down to 9, I went up to 100 and noticed the HUGE difference) and you will be all set. Open your sound recorder and enjoy.

Great product, I have only had it for a day, so I have no reviews as to its endurance of time, but it will definitely last long if you take care of it, as with everything else.

Customer Review: Great Mic for beginners and people who can't be bothered with details!
Summary: 5 Stars

The title says it all, really. This is a great little microphone and is among the best that I've ever had (if not the best). My favourite feature is the handy plug and play USB feature that allows you to do just that: plug and play. Now, I'm no audiophile or soundhound, but the sound quality that comes across using this microphone is, to my dull ears, fantastic, crisp and clear. I use it primarily to talk to my various family members scattered overseas and they say that I sound great. My greatest worry would be static inteference or the like, but apparently the mic has some sort of noise reduction effects built in, which in layman's terms means that you don't have to worry too much about ambient sounds in the background as much (my guess, since I'm a layman).

The bottom line: this is a great microphone for those that want a hassle free experience when mucking around with their computers, as well as people who value decent voice recording. Does not have the bells and whistles of a more expensive brand, but is a great microphone nonetheless. A definite worthy buy, as you'll be hard pressed to find a better mic at a comparable price range (and even some above the price range).

Customer Review: Works great with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10
Summary: 5 Stars

I have Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 preferred and Windows 7. I used an Andrea stereo USB headset that works pretty good but I do not like wearing the headset, since it cancells out all other sounds. After wasting about three or four months trying to find a Bluetooth headset to work with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and investigating all the microphones out there that cost several hundred dollars, I decided to give this a try. It works great, and cost only 20 bucks! The best part of this is that you can get an extension so you're not stuck sitting at your computer all day. I would recommend setting up the microphone separately in Dragon. You may have to fiddle with the microphone settings but you have to do that in Dragon with any microphone that you buy Dragon Naturally Speaking 10.1 Preferred with Headset - complete packageDragon NaturallySpeaking 10 StandardDragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred Student Edition

Customer Review: Works under vista
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this mainly to use it with Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger and skype. I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. As, at least one of the reviewers must have already pointed out, you can make it work under vista. This is what I do to make my computer recognize it:

1. Right-click on the sound/speaker icon in the notification area (bottom right corner of your screen, where the time is displayed) and select Recording Devices.
2. If you have already connected your Logitech microphone to a USB port (and turned it on), it should be on the list of recording devices that come up your screen. Right-click on it, and select 'Set as Default' - and that's pretty much it. If you find that it is not recognized by any messenger services (though that's rare), you might have to rerun these steps and set the Logitech mic as default once again.

If you right-click on the microphone, and select 'Properties', you'll find other options like microphone sound levels which you can play around with to get the voice input quality you desire.

Other than that, I found the voice quality to be good over Yahoo messenger and Skype. I recommend this mic.

Customer Review: Great for the price.
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this microphone because of it's great price, and great reviews. I mainly use this mic for gaming, and sometime chatting online via MSNm or Steam. So without further ado, here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
Very very clear. I can speak from a foot away, and my voice will be relayed without any buzzing or any distortion at all. The mic always picks up my voice.
Great volume. Once again, from a foot away, I have to make sure the volume isn't turned up too high, or it will be too loud.

Cons:
Too sensitive. Using Vista, I haven't been able to adjust the sensitivity for this mic. When I'm playing CSS or L4D, my keystrokes will be picked up by the mic. There is no option to adjust the sensitivity for USB Mics in window's sound control, and the game's Mic sensitivity option doesn't work. The sensitivity options worked for my previous analogue mic, but apparently it doesn't work with USB mics. Maybe there's a way to adjust the sensitivity, well they're making it hard for me to figure out..

Overall I'd rate this item 4.5/5 Stars for the quality and value. And I'd definitely recommend this product.
