Customer Review: Fantastic little camera, great for video conferencing and telepresence

I ordered this camera for use in the office. One of the teams I work with has some remote team members (as in thousands of miles away) and we wanted to give them a way of interacting of feeling a little bit more involved with what was going on in the office. This camera let's them do exactly. The picture quality and sound quality (from the built in mic) are both pretty good but the killer feature is the pan-tilt-zoon and AF. The camera can be controlled remotely (there's software out there for that) so it's easy to take control and check out who's in the office and what's going on. I bought it because my old webcam was really bad.
And I am really surprised how good the webcams already are.
The picture quality is really good and the Sound quality is amazing. I can speak without headset and everybody can here me without hearing themselves.
One not so good aspect is: The Microphone of the Webcam is a little bit to good. So when it stands directly in front of the Laptop (I don't have a computer) then my partner can just hear all the voices of my laptop but not me.
So I had to put the webcam around 2 feets away from my laptop and now it's perfect.

I purchased this product because I have purchased Logitech product in the past, and I have been satisfied with everything that I have purchased from Logitech before. This product upheld all my expectations as far as product quality is concerned. In addition, it perform well for tracking human faces and keeping the picture centered at all time. The sound quality of the microphone is very good quality and there are no hissing noises. This mike is very sensitive and it can pick up sound at more than 10 feet away from the computer where the camera is installed. I am pleased with the system.

This cam was great, east setup, the software takes a few mins to install even with a generally fast processor, great picture quality, fun add-ons, as in backgrounds, privacy screens, and prop insertions,..
I do enjoy the face tracking option and this camera can easily follow you around any well lit room. I does require a bit of lighting to get the best picture but that seems only natural. Still frame pictures come out with exceptional quality. I would have to recommend this cam for anyone from a novice to an advanced user. Easily the best camera (in the $100 & under group).

The Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF works great. I use it for personal as well as for conference calls. I am a fan of Carl Zeiss optics. The RightLight Technology provides enough light to show you very clear in low light situations which really impresses me. You do not need an extra microphone with this camera. It comes with integrated microphone with RightSound Technology. I never got any complaints from the receiver end of the call about voice/sound issues. I use the 9-inch stand when needed. My 4 year old daughter enjoys when I use Video Masks. Overall I love this camera.
