It's a web camera, seems to have no problems with my Vista machine. The only thing I don't like is that it sits better on some of my LCD screens than others. My View Sonic has a rig around the monitor, it doesn't sit as nicely on. But my HP and HaansG monitors it fits perfectly on. I like the little shade thing on it, it's nice to be able to know nothing can be seen through it, just in case. Also the front light turns green when it's actually on.Customer Review: Great webcam

I think the camera is good for the price. I found it here within one of Amazon retailer (OEM) at around $26. It was a great upgrade from our old and useless webcam. The Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX works with both the windows SP1 and SP2. With the SP1 the camera and mic works with Skype, the software doesn't. In a nutshell, it offers great resolution with or without light, different recording options and it is not particularly expensive.Customer Review: Worth the money

I bought this webcam for my parents and one for myself. The camera is very easy to set up and use. We had some difficulty getting video calling to work, but now that it does, we are happy with it. For relatively still shots, this camera is awesome. However, I have a six month old and he doesn't like to sit still for the camera. Movement is very blurry on the camera. I received my Quickcam Stx and I had it hooked up and running in a few min. The brightness was fine. The Audio adjusted very quickly. The only problem I had was I use my earphones and If I unpluged them I did not have any sound in my speakers. I had to download a file for windows XP that solved that problem. I think the STX is a great product. Logitech needs to update there software to solve that problem.Customer Review: Satisfied

I'm very satisfied with this webcam. Although the image isn't perfect it's definitely clear enough to see everything. I blame most of the errs on the internet connections and not the webcam. I was in need of a microphone not just a camera and they work great together. The sound is at time with the video. It was definitely worth the price and I would recomend this product to someone for webchating.
