Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Premium Stereo Headset with Noise-Canceling MicrophoneCustomer Review: Design annoyances Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this headset for use with Skype and returned it a week later due to comfort issues. (I have normally-shaped ears.)
Pros:
* Audio - clear output through the speakers, good isolation of external noise, and clear voice recording with the microphone (no echoes or static)
* Good price
* Inclusion of wired remote, although the clip is very inflexible
* No software to install
Cons:
* Uncomfortable fit - my ears started hurting at the top after an hour of use, especially when wearing specs
* Limited adjustability of the headband
* Cables are far too long and get in the way
* Requires a headphone and separate mic jack on your computer
Customer Review: Not mac compatible ... Summary: 1 Stars
Do not be fooled by the mac compatibility logo on the box. This product is falsely labeled! I needed a headset to use Skype on my G4 powerbook and bought this product because it had a mac logo on the box. That would normally mean it is mac compatible. However, this headset is not compatible with macs. I did some brief research and realized this product does not work because my mac only has a "line in" plug (as with most macs). In order to use this product, you must purchase a separate USB converter (not included).
If you are looking for a headset to use with your mac, make sure to buy one with a USB plug. I bought the Plantronics Audio 85 with USB for Apple on Amazon and it works just fine.
Customer Review: They are fine...but Summary: 3 Stars
This headset works great, it does cancel out the noise around you so people can hear you speak clearly. The band and cups are comfortable if you wear them less than 8+hrs a day, if you wear glasses or have any piercings on the outer rims of your ears they do put pressure on your ears and will cause pain after awhile.
I used these on a daily basis for about 9+hrs a day for work and online gaming. The volume and mic mute button started going out within 3 months and now I am having issues with the left speaker working.
I've owned these for a total of 4.5 months.
I think for general Team Speak use they work perfectly, just not for the long prolong daily use of a hard core gamer.
Customer Review: Uncomfortable Summary: 2 Stars
I tried this out and almost immediately decided to return it. The headband is made of plastic, and so cannot be banned or otherwise adjusted. I wear an average hat size, so I know my head is not that big, but this thing really hurt to wear. As others have noted, the padding is very thin and not very soft. Also, the padding rests on the ear itself, rather than forming a seal around it. The result is a tight fitting headset with minimal padding crushing your ears. The only redeeming quality of this product is that the microphone worked pretty well with my voice recognition software. It didn't matter though, as I couldn't manage to wear it for any length of time that made it worth keeping.
Customer Review: You get what you paid for Summary: 4 Stars
Since several reviewers reported this head set as uncomfortable I decided to wait a few weeks before posting my review. At first they did squeeze my head very tight and were as uncomfortable as others have said. However, I find them fairly comfortable now. You could buy a $300 Bose set, but now that these have loosened up, I'm happy with this bargain purchase.
The audio quality on my recordings has been excellent, and since my IBM Think Pad speakers are so weak, I'm now able to listen to even the lowest of audio files as loudly as I choose thanks to the volume control button the wire of the head set. It will take a few hours of wearing to break it in... but then you're set.
