Customer Review: Cheap and friendly
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these for a cheap and disposable online gaming headset. They work perfectly fine for Team Fortress 2 or Counter Strike Source etc. Clear sound with good voice transmit clarity, it makes such a huge difference for your team mates to be able to talk over tactics before the next uber rush... reading other reviews you would think theres something wrong with these out of the box but thats just incorrect. When your sound card is setup correctly for using a microphone, something most systems are not set up to use correctly until they are configured as such, I have had no issues. People on the other side of the planet can hear me just as well as when playing on a local server and despite what other reviews have said, I have had them on my head for six hour gaming marathons for the past few weekends and no discomfort at all. The nose canceling works as advertised.

These are not fancy, come cheap, are made of rigid plastic etc but for the price they surpassed my expectations. I do not expect them to last too long due to materials (maybe 12 months if I am not too drunk when playing) however for the price, with the excellent performance I have experienced I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any serious gamer.

Customer Review: Excellent Product Despite a Mistake
Summary: 5 Stars

In short these headphones are great headphones. I believe they are comfortable, but perhaps not for long periods of times, and certainly not if you wear glasses often. However, the quality is great and I wasn't having any problems with them.

My mistake was that I was looking for headphones also by Logitech, in the same series as these are. They are basically the same phones with the same form, but one important difference: USB connection. These headphones do not have USB connection, which I think drastically reduces the potential of its quality, as I have had the USB headphones before my pair broke. They were my favorite headphones and I wanted to replace them. Although no true problems exist with this product, I wish I had been more attentive for that key feature. I don't think Amazon made it clear enough, with something that important hanging in the balance.

I am not unsatisfied with these headphones, but they are not as capable of loudness as I want, and they are subject to non-digital interference unlike USB headphones. It includes a separate mic splitter with the option to mute it in-line. Despite not being what I wanted, they are still better headphones than most others.

Customer Review: Poorest Quality Headsets I've Ever Purchased
Summary: 1 Stars

DON'T BUY THESE HEADSETS!

I am a computer lab teacher and last year purchased 40 of these exact headsets. I thought they looked durable, but I was very wrong. First, let me say that I am was very careful with these headsets and my students only used them occasionally for recording projects. The microphone booms just tend to pop off all the time. The main reason the microphone booms seem to fall off is that logitech has attached them with a SCREW! Yes, they put on a twisting part with a screw. Every time it gets rotated, it unscrews a little bit.

Right out of the box, 1 headset didn't work. No big deal.

Within 3 months, the microphone booms on 5 headsets had become loose and fallen off.

Within 6 months, 15 headsets had had microphone booms fall off or just quit working.

Within a year, 23 headsets had quit working for various and inexplicable reasons. On many of them, the microphones or earphones just quit working without any obvious reason.

It has now been about 15 months since purchase and I am now down to only 10 working headsets.

DON'T BUY THESE HEADSETS!

Customer Review: Comfortable, but broke after several month's use
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this pair of headphones at an office supply store and used them primarily for Skype.

The initial setup was a bit of a pain, primarily because I had to track down and modify an advanced setting in the RealTek HD Audio Manager. I don't know if I can blame that on Logitech or not, but it was still a hassle.

The comfort level was is good, although they do get a bit snug on the ears after a while, especially if you wear glasses.

The headphones worked fine for 3 months, then the inline volume control developed a short and the left speaker is full of static and only works about half the time. I can usually tweak the volume control to get it to work, but it's still a pain.

I think I'm pretty much done purchasing products from Logitech. I've owned five or six other items over the years and it seems like they work for a while, then break either due to manufacturing issues or because they aren't supported through OS updates.

September 2010 update - after another 6 months of use the microphone crapped out. These headphones were a complete POS.

Customer Review: sounds ok... bad mic though
Summary: 1 Stars

Ok, the sounds were unbeleivable, they just blew my out of my seat... literally. Before you plug these into your computer and put them on your head, be sure to turn all the volumes DOWN. That is if you buy these at all. I'm not much of a fan of these headsets. My dad bought these for me at christmas so i tryed not to complain too much but it was impossible to not complain entirly. The headset hurt after about 30 minutes to about an hour. It really cut down on my gaming experiances. After a couple weeks of using though it started to hurt less over time. I'm not sure if my ears adjusted or if they just went numb from all the pain. But i allways had to masage my ears whenever i took them off.
The mic was just plain annoying. In order ofr it to pic up ANY noise i had to stick it in my mouth, and even then it didn't pick up very well. Sensitivity was all the way up and it picked up everything but my voice. When i tryed to play a game with ts running they couldn't understand me at all but said i was very loud. Persoanly if you buy this you waste money better spent elsewere. 1 out of 5 stars for this headset.
