Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Precision GamepadCustomer Review: Wonderful little gamepad Summary: 5 Stars
It's been reiterated many times before for this product, but it really is an exceptional fit for emulation. I have 8 or 9 of this gamepad scattered around the house and hooked up to various computers for MAME or a little Super Mario Kart. I've not had a single one go bad - even had my rat gnaw on the cord of one of them, taped it up with duct tape and it still works just fine. Its durable nature, perfect button layout (believe it or not, muscle memory is a factor in fast-twitch gaming) and inexpensive cost makes this Precision Gamepad a win...if you can find any for sale any more.
Customer Review: Wal-Mart price without the evil ! Summary: 5 Stars
This game pad is VERY cheap, I only paid $10 for this and received it in brand new condition. This being said, it is a fantastic pad for emulator use on the PC. I'm an old school gamer and my favorite part about this pad is that it doesn't have those stupid analog sticks that have contributed to the ruin of console gaming. If you're looking for a quality controller and don't have a need for analog stick thingies, then buy this pad. You've probably wasted $10 on worse things like Navy Seals on DVD or a Viagra pill. Stop reading this and just buy it!
Customer Review: Meh... its alright. Summary: 3 Stars
What's with the "wingman" pic? I hate that sunk in d-pad. The one on the other pics looks alright though. Its got 2 L's and 2 R's, a start and select, and 4 action buttons, so its basically a PSX pad without the sticks. It looks very 'console' but alot of PC pad companies don't make stuff that lasts. If you really want console ruggedness on your PC, get a Lik-Sang adapter, download Joy2Key (its free) and dig any standard or aftermarket PS1 or PS2 pad out of your closet. You'll have a familiar controller, and loads of keyboard/mouse mapping options.
Customer Review: K.I.S.S. or Keep it simple stupid Summary: 5 Stars
What can be said about this product other than it works, and it needs no driver disk. You can plug it in and be playing with it in the time it takes your emulator of choice to boot up. I've used it for NES, SNES, GENESIS, MAME, and it performs beautifully every time. THIS is the penultimate controller to get before you go analog stick. It does everything it's supposed to and it is easy to use, what else do you want? For it to serve chilled vodka shots? Well it doesn't, because it's a game controller, silly. That would be awesome though . . .
Customer Review: Solid Gamepad Summary: 4 Stars
The controller is solid. It has a nice grip, has 8 programmable buttons, and the d-pad has 360 degree rotation, which is a big plus when you're trying to move around when playing a game. Another big plus is this controller is literally plug and play--no cd installing is required. You just plug it in your USB port and play away. The only drawback I can see is possibly at least 2 more buttons (especially when it comes to emulation and the latest sports game). But overall I recommend this controller because it's affordable and easy to use.
