Customer Review: Inexpensive but cheap.

First the controller came in molded plastic packaging that was a pain to open. The cheap plastic controller got nicked in a few places as I struggled to open the packaging.
When I opened it, the controller installed painlessly on my Vista machine, which was a relief as Vista seems to enjoy fighting peripherals now and then.
There was one button that acts flaky (button 6) but otherwise all the buttons work and it does the job. I use it to play Madden 2008 and it does the job.
Overall, it's ten dollars and if you are on a tight budget, it's a good controller for the price. If you can afford better, I would recommend getting better, but this is worth the mere ten bucks you pay for it.

If you like old school SNES games, or need to feel a gamepad in your hands rather then a keyboard, then I would definately recommend this one. It feels good to hold, the buttons feel solid and have a nice feel when you press them (not loose or brittle), and it looks nice and simple. My only problem with it was that the directional pad is a bit loose, but this doesn't impede playing games at all. It doesn't require any other software, and was atomatically recognized by Windows XP. Unless your looking for something with joy sticks (try the Logitech Rumblepad 2 Vibration Feedback Gamepad, which I aslo have), then this is great.Customer Review: Cheap Perfection!

First of all, at 10 dollars, how could you not? I'm just taking a stab at this by saying that most people will be using this for Emulation software. Am I right? Well, I am using SNES9X, this works PERFECT, i got it mapped exactly like a SNES controller would, and having buttons 7 and 8 mapped to "Save game, and Load game". Perfect setup, perfect controller, perfect price!
Its very, very sleek, and really comfertable to hold.. dare i say, but it SLIGHTLY (lol) resembles the PS controller.. only slightly.
My only complaint, im not the biggest fan of the color, but thats not worth lowering the review to 4/5.. i mean its still a perfect controller!

I bought this because of the pc game, Ice Age 2. We had a horrible time trying to play it using the keyboard. I really hate games like that anyway, but this one was especially bad. I plugged the controller in as soon as I got it and we played with it that same afternoon when my son got home from school. It worked perfectly. My only drawback, and I don't know if this has to do with the controller or the game, is that the button numbers on the game don't match up with the button numbers on the controller. That's easy to get past, but it is the only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5. If you don't mind figuring out which numbers are which the first time you play, GET IT!Customer Review: Excellent for the price, saved me from buying a game console!

We do not own a game console (xbox, wii or such) as we find that the kids already spend enough time on the computer. However, my son had recently gotten into role playing games like Titan Quest and Eragon. Using the keys to move was frustrating him. These work perfectly. In fact the 10 year old "installed" them himself and was playing both games with his 8 year old sister minutes later. They are quite well built for the price and seem to be comfortable for the kids and my husband as well. He has programmed some of the buttons for different functions and said it was quite simple. Now we can put off buying a "real" game console for a bit longer.
