Was going through regular ball type mice (mouses?) like once every two months due to cat hair, dust, and such. Tried cleaning them with those compressed air cans and pulling it out manually but still had to keep replacing them as the computer is in constant use.
Tried this optical usb mouse thingy without high expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. The onscreen cursor goes where I want it to without having to lift the mouse and replace it on the desk.
Summed up this is a good product that works, and I won't go back to the regular ball type mouse after using it.

the quality of this one is even better.

u move it, it responds.
the other brands have always stopped working
within 3 to 5 months[ usb driver error ].
logitech just doesn't malfunction or break.

This wired optical mouse is a bargain for the price. Whether you are a gamer, business doer, or simply a web surfer, this mouse provides very fast response time. The 3-buttons enable you to click, click, click and the wheel is almost as smooth as James Bond. I use this mouse for rapid movement during first person shooters and other games. The quickness of the infrared is much better than an old fashioned ball mouse and the added bonus is that it stays clean. The wheel is great for scrolling down web pages. My old Microsoft Intellimouse is more comfortable (wider at the back), and slides much better across my mouse pad than the Logitech. The mouse feels too narrow for me (I am female, with long, thin hands). The software that came with the Logitech works fine (Mac OS X), and the buttons and scroll wheel are responsive. However, the mouse feels cheap. But then again, it was cheap. I will keep it, but if I could make my selection over again, I would still buy a Logitech mouse, but I would buy a more expensive model.Customer Review: Fast, effortless

I bought this to replace a mouse I've had for three years. The old mouse squeaked, it was slow, and because it was a ball mouse, it needed frequent cleaning and worked poorly.
I just plugged this one in and ran with it. It's blazing fast and accurate, with no skipping and no noise. I'm very pleased with it. There is an option to install software to get extra features, but I haven't used it. I just want something that points and clicks and doesn't require a download. Works great.
