Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Optical Notebook Mouse Plus (USB)Customer Review: Broke after one month of use!?! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this mouse after my Targus one died (after about 1.5 year's use), so my expectations in terms of shelf-life weren't too high -- but it died after ONE MONTH! I placed my order on July 26th and have used my laptop + the mouse for maybe 2-3 hours a day (some days less) since then. Today, September 5th, it stopped working. I never wrapped the cord or took the mouse anywhere else -- it remained stationary, on my desk, the entire time, the cord never touched.
This product is a poor investment. I found the scroll ball clunky (it makes an annoying whirring noise) and the cord perfectly functional, but it shouldn't have only lasted a month. I'm going back to Targus.
Customer Review: Wrap it up to go! Summary: 4 Stars
I have to add my satisfied voice to the chorus. Like all the Logitech mice I've used, this Notebook Mouse Plus works like a charm. Very responsive, with a nice click to the buttons and a good touch to the scroll wheel. Some wheels have almost no resistance while others have too much -- the wheel on the Macally ICE Mouse I owned before felt tinny, almost as if I were turning a metal spring.
The Notebook Mouse Plus is a bit on the small side. My hands a slightly larger than average, though. Since this mouse is meant to travel with a laptop, I'd say it's appropriately sized. No doubt, I'll get used to it soon enough. Very nice product. Merci beaucoup, Logitech!
Customer Review: Mighty Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I am completely satisfied with this mouse. It works well for me. It's a great improvement over the built in touchpad on my notebook computer, making it more convenient to type and affording better control. The mouse is light, feels good in my hand, is responsive and seems as durable as any I have used. The groove in the base for wrapping the cord along with the snap lock for the USB plug makes it convenient to carry and store. My notebook computer has two USB ports on the right side so the cord is more than long enough for my needs. The cord might be too short to use right handed if the only available USB port is on the left side of one's notebook computer.
Customer Review: Perfect, but right button a bit hard to reach for those with large hands Summary: 5 Stars
I like the mouse enough that I am buying a second one for my office so I don't have to carry it back and forth. It is very good: looks nice, feels light and precise, the USB cord is thin enough that it does not pull the mouse in any direction (thick cords in light mice such as this one always annoy me because they may move the mouse if you relax your grip).
It is small and I have big hands, but since I don't hold a mouse with my palm, that is not much of an issue. The only glitch (I wish I could have rated it 4 1/2 stars) is that sometimes it takes a bit of an effort to click the right button. Nothing serious though. All in all, a pleasing product.
Customer Review: Great mouse in a small package Summary: 5 Stars
I was torn between getting this mouse and the targus travel mouse. In the end I choose this one because people were having trouble with the zip line that the cord wraps around on the targus.
This mouse has worked very well so far. The construction feels solid even though the mouse is very light. I've had no accuracy problems, though I do miss the side thumb button which is on my larger mice. Wrapping the cord takes about 5-10 seconds and at first you have to wrap quite tightly to get it to snap into place but it gets easier with time (I guess the cord streches a bit). The cord doesn't show any wear and I expect a long of use from this. Excellent product.
