Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Optical Notebook Mouse Plus (USB)Customer Review: No hassle mouse! And it's cute too! Summary: 5 Stars
Cute little grey mouse. Mouse body is approx 3.75" long, 2" wide, 1" high. The cord length is approx 27" long. The cord is thin and unintrusive, and best thing about it: you can tuck the cord away under the body. Tucking the cord away like this is great for saving space when you tuck the mouse away in your laptop bag.
This mouse works as it should. I am using it on my Asus EEE PC 1000H Windows XP netbook/laptop. As soon as I plugged it into the EEE PC, the mouse started working right away. True plug-and-play on my Asus EEE PC. I've had no problems with it at all.
I'm so happy with this mouse-- I bought one for my sister too. She's using the mouse on her Compaq Presario V6000 Windows XP laptop. Her laptop recognized the mouse as soon as she plugged it in.
Good, no hassle mouse. Gets the job done. Really can't ask for anything more from a mouse.
Customer Review: Loud, grinding wheel; cheap, fragile feel; discontinued, for real? Summary: 2 Stars
Epitome of "You get what you pay for." (Although I did get more Logitech plastic blister packaging than I paid for.) This mouse is like a cheap plastic child's toy.
The scroll wheel is loud, and responds poorly. It has too much play in it before the knurls or whatever rotate. It's a clumsy constant annoyance. Can't imagine using it in a meeting or within earshot of some poor cube corral co-worker all day long.
Old/discontinued product? Instructions say go to their website and download software. But I couldn't find a "Notebook optical mouse plus" anywhere on their site after searching via three categories, and visually, and by using their search box. The mini manual doesn't say what the software is for. But it worked when I plugged it into my MacBook anyway.
It's back to genuine Apple for Mighty Mouse for me. Design matters.
Customer Review: the greatest mouse for laptop Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the mouse in mid 2005 because my old mouse died on me.
It works great even though I have replaced my computer 2 times, I still use the same mouse (I just like newer computers). It is light and really good to be used with laptop, now I'm using a desktop but I still use it because it is the most comfortable mouse I have ever used.
on the positive side:
- really fit on my hand because I have small hand
- light, really good for travelling, the lightest component of my powerful notebook
- really responsive
- you can wrap the cord around the mouse to tidy up
on the negative side:
- if you often wrap and unwrap the cord it might wear out
- the cord just too short. actually i use extension just to make a use of the mouse
maybe if this one died one day, I will get the same one again.
Customer Review: Super Satisfied Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this mouse on a whim because I thought it was so adorable and I loved how the wire wrapped around the base. I'm SO glad I acted on that whim. Its got to be one of my favourite of all the mouses I've tried. Its small but not too small, you can keep the mess of wire in your laptop bag to a minimum with the wrap around base, it worked amazingly well, and it lasted me a good three years now.
The wire on mine has broken inside I think since now it's a little glitchy. The computer sometimes doesn't see it so I'm here to buy a new one. I was thinking about purchasing a different mouse but I'm just so satisfied with this product I don't want to change. :D
Only problem is that the wire is a little short so if you don't have USB slots on the back right or right side of your computer, you should probably rethink buying it.
Customer Review: Still works after 2+ years of use. Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my girlfriend back in April 2006 when she got her laptop and it still works as good as new now over 2-years later. She doesn't use it every day, but mostly for longer computing sessions where she is working at a table with ample mouse space.
It is durable as long as you care for it, as her's survived daily commutes to-and-from school in her notebook bag, frequent uses by her little brother who likes to play flash video games, and even survived a 3-month trip to Central America while she was at a field school.
I have large hands and I find it to be less-than comfortable over longer periods of use (as I do any compact mouse), but she says she has no problems using it, thanks to her tiny hands. Also, because it is wired USB, it is not affected by her WiFi connection. All and all, recommended.
