Customer Review: good little mousy
Summary: 5 Stars

EDIT: 3 stars(see below)i love it. its like the baby bear: its not too big and not too small. perfect for travel and for everyday use. its very durable. ive slammed it into many tables while moving my laptop with it connected. ive yanked on the cord. ive smooshed the usb connector on pillows and such while the laptop is on my lap. the mouse itself works perfectly. cord wraps around the base fairly easily for transport. only problem is that you must wrap the cord very tight in order to snap in. some people might like the cordless mice but i personally like cord mouses better. in my experience the cordless mouses respond slower, not good for the games i was playing like world of warcraft. Dont worry ive quit the game and it no longer has its grip on me. ive also broke the little usb transmitter on those things from pressing up against things when the laptop is on my lap. so buy this cheap good mousy.

EDIT: 3 Stars. Ive the cord attaching to the USB becomes loose after awhile. ive broke 2 of these mouses, each in about 8 months. i guess im rough on those cords. once i saw the Logictec Nano i finally went wireless. theres no way i can damage that USB conection and Its very responsive, just about as good as a cord.

Customer Review: Great travelling mouse

The cord management function on this mouse has got to be the best of its features. You can wind the cord around the base of the mouse, and the USB plug clicks into position on the underside, protecting the optical sensor. I'm using the mouse with Mac OS10.3 on an iBook, and both the right-click button and scroller work exactly as they should. There's no thumb-click button, but frankly, that's not the most useful feature anyway on a notebook-sized mouse. There's nowhere comfortable to put the button on a mouse this small, and it would end up being more in the way than anything else, as I have found on other models.

This mouse is also visually pleasing - a sort of greyish-silver metallic color on the top surface where your palm rests, with a tasteful greyish-blue imprint of the Logitech logo, and black all around the sides. If you haven't used a notebook-sized mouse before, the size takes some getting used to, but the particular rounded design of this mouse makes it a comfortable fit in the palm. Also - I ordered this mouse on a Friday afternoon with supersaver shipping, and I received it by the following Monday afternoon! Great value for the price all around.

Customer Review: Works, but...

I should point out I'm a Logitech marble trackball user for many years, and I really do not like mice that move around on the desktop. But, as the trackball is large and the marble seems easily lost, I'm not getting one for my laptop - yet.

On this mouse, the cord-securing feature is almost, but not quite, really good. The problem is the rather small-gauge cord comes with a kink in it. It comes wrapped tightly in the provided groove around the perimeter of the mouse and bent too sharply in the exit slot (to allow the USB end to clip into place on the bottom). I thought it may create a weak point in the wire, but after a few uses it seems fine. I don't make the final wrap when storing it, so it is not so tidy as it should be. But one day I will get a nail file or something and make an exit notch in the perimeter about 1/4 inch "looser" than where it is now, and then the cord storage feature will be perfect.

The cord is a little shorter than on standard size mice, so you may have a problem if your laptop USB is on the left and you want to use the mouse on the right side.

Otherwise, great - for a mouse.

Customer Review: A++ Good Mouse. Would use as a pointing device again!

I'm using this x.org under openbsd on a Toshiba portege 2000. This mouse is awesome.
My latop has a touchpad, and I hate it. The fact that the latop was lacking a ps/2 port led me to buy my first USB mouse. I'm a cheapskate, so I've been using basically the same two or three ps/2 mice on all of my machines since the late nineties. Wireless is unnecessary, as it is more cumbersome and adds the need for batteries. And more than three buttons is a little extranious for me. I looked at a few of the notebook mice that amazon offered, and this exactly what I'm looking for.
The cable / plug management is really clever, everything fits perfectly and stays in place. I didn't really factor it heavily into my purchasing decision, but now that I've used it a bit, I'm quite stoked about it. The mouse is light, and it matches my laptop's color scheme (kekeke). The price point is decent, too.
The closest thing I have to a complaint is that it feels too small sometimes. The mouse works right away in X, and it takes a bit of tweaking to get the mouse wheel functionality running. It's well documented, I've just been too lazy to do it yet.

Customer Review: Great Mouse
Summary: 4 Stars

I recently ordered this mouse and just got it today (my long term outlook on the mouse isn't good yet, just so you know). I have to say, however, that having this mouse just a few hours is a very good thing.

I got this mouse for my laptop so I wouldn't have to use the touchpad anymore. My laptop has Linux on it (I'm a rebel) and this mouse worked absolutely great for it after just plugging it in, no drivers needed at all. It responds well on practically any surface, except glass which is understandable but annoying since my desk is made of glass. However, since I got this mouse for the road, it will work good for me.

My only complaint is that the mouse wheel does not work out of the box on Linux. Note, I did not say Windows, since I'm sure it would work for Windows fine. If you are a Linux junkie of sorts and need a good mini-mouse, get this if you are a cheap person like me. I am sure there is a driver for this mouse for Linux to enable the scroll wheel but I will have to search, which I haven't had a chance to do yet.
