This Logitech mouse is both better and currently cheaper than the competing Microsoft Wheel Optical Mouse (ASIN B00025O7FC). No, I do not work for Logitech. I am just a happy customer who escaped the h*ll of the Microsoft mouse's self-wheel-scrolling and switched to this mouse, which is better because it doesn't have that problem. I have this mouse in white and it works very well. The only thing I might like better is if it was cordless but I didn't want to spend much on such a basic piece of computer equipment. I keep it on a mouse pad out of habit but it does not require a pad. It's very lightweight and durable. Logitech is a brand that I am new to but so far they have been excellent. It is just a very nice mouse. It feels good in the hand and the scroll wheel and buttons have a great feel. I have purchased five of these mice and the only problem I have noticed is that with two or three of them, the scroll wheel needed to be broke in. It was stiff and rough at first, after using it for a few hours the scroll wheel became free moving with nice crisp detents.Customer Review: Does the job

I got this when the touchpad on my Dell laptop started going bad. Plugged it in and it works perfectly, right off the bat. I remember struggling with and cursing at the old ball-style mice (slipping and sliding on the mouse pad), but the optical mouse is fantastic! I'm using a sofa cushion as a mouse pad and it works fine... exactly what the secret is, I'm not sure.Customer Review: Great all around mouse

I bought this mouse because my other one broke due to excessive computer game playing and needed another. This one is excellent and works well on both PC and MAC computers. I have been using for around a year now and it has not broken yet, I like it fits very snugly in the hand and the lazer is good since I dont like using mouse pads. I highly recomend this!
