Customer Review: Average only
Summary: 3 Stars

With close to 200 reviews here, I will keep it short and to the point:

PROS:
- Very quiet operation, probably the quietest keyboard I've ever had
- Feels very comfortable to type with, keys have good resistance, not too easily depressed
- Tons of programmable keys
- Wireless operation working well, no delays
- Compact size
- Hefty weight (due to 4 AA batteries) keeps keyboard in place
- Love the contoured mouse

CONS:
- Lettering on the keys not very contrast-rich, hard to see in lower lighting conditions
- Symbols/lettering on some keys very small and therefore also hard to read
- Display not backlit, hard to read, tedious to program
- Size of keys underneath the display is very small
- Dynamic Search and Zoom function oddly placed, prone to be activated accidentally
- F keys spread out with a huge gap between F8 and F9, and not full size

SUMMARY:
Having used Logitech keyboards for years and having switched from the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Set to this one, I'd say that this keyboard is very good when it comes to comfort - the feel of the keys, the quiet operations, all this is great. But the practical issues with the low contrast of the lettering, the hard to see small keys, the budget display, etc. makes it difficult for me to love this keyboard.

To anyone considering this model, I'd recommend they go to their local store and check it out before deciding. Different people have different preferences and whether this keyboard works for an individual is best tested out in person. If this is not possible, I have uploaded a picture here (under customer images) to illustrate the contrast issues this keyboard has.

Customer Review: Not perfect but getting there
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the third wireless keyboard I've tried and its a keeper...for the money these things cost I wanted something I was going to be happy with...my first try was with a Microsoft and I found that with what they had in funtion they severly lacked in range (6-8 inches from the reciever was unacceptable for a wireless)...My second attempt was a Logitech LX710, although it was less attractive than I liked it had great range and no problems but the extra funtion keys on the side of keyboard were to easy to accidentally press when moving the keyboard around...then looking around online I found this set for $2 less than I had spent on the LX710 in the stores, Dell online has it for $67 and although they estimate shipping for days away it was on my doorstep the next morning from several states away.

MOUSE
Pros:
several buttons to play with, very comfortable, great range, all buttons can be reprogrammed to do whatever you want

Cons:
One touch search button is to close to the zoom buttons and I hit it a lot but it was easy to turn off and I know that I always have the option of programming the docuflip button that I don't use to one touch search if I just have to have it.

Like all logitech mice the scroll wheel isn't quite like Mirosofts

KEYBOARD
Pros:
Lots and lots and lots of reprogrammable funtion keys, comfortable, great range (I wouldn't get if you're using it for a television but if 6ft of range is enough this will be fine), easy to move around

Cons:
The touch slider zoom, while a cool feature sometimes needs to be awakened by touching one of the other function keys beside it first

I was missing a few keystrokes the first couple of days but this went away, not sure why but may have been the placement of the mini reciever

Customer Review: Keyboard keys stick
Summary: 1 Stars

Logitech is the leader in wireless technology but they need better mechanical engineers. The keyboard was acceptable when new (a little wishy-washy on the key feel but ok). But now after 1.5 years of light use, the keys stick so bad it is unuseable. The mouse is incrediblely accurate. I played Call Of Duty 4 complete and never had a complaint about response time or accuracy. Batteries for the mouse needs to be replaced about every 2months but the original batteries on the keyboard still going strong after 1.5years.

con: There is a very short range on the keyboard and mouse. Maybe 5ft max. Not a big deal for me because they give an extension cord for the USB transmitter so I have directly in the center underneath my couch. The keyboard sticky keys is a killer. It is not even like they are gummy. If you don't hit the key exactly square then it key does not go down. This is a major design bug that i have not seen on even the cheapest corded keyboards.

Pro: very good wireless technology. excellent mouse. Even the "stupid" extra stuff on the mouse is good. It has 2 buttons to go page forward and back in Internet explorer that is fantastic. The layout is great so if you don't want to use the extra junk then they are not in the way. However, the "stupid" extra stuff on the keyboard is just that... stupid and in the way. There is a Dumb zoom bar on the left and unfortunately that's the only way to grab the keyboard to pick it up. So when you pick up the keyboard the screen starts "zooming". Stupid and impossible to disable.

summary:
I really wanted to give logitech a good review on this because there are some things that are simply fantastic, but the negatives are just to great and in the end it is just going to end up in the trash.

Customer Review: Death to Productivity!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this product less than a month ago and already detest it.

I went looking for a keyboard after my old one died and this is what I ended up with. First off, I did NOT want a wireless keyboard - but out of the dozen that OfficeMax had, they had ONE (very cheap) wired keyboard. Against my better judgment - I've had extremely poor luck in the past with wireless keyboards and mice working correctly - I decided to go with what I THOUGHT was a decent brand.

My mistake. After installing the keyboard and mouse on Win XP, I started to encounter "scrolling hell". That is, all of a sudden when you're working in something, the scroll function just decides to start itself up. Unfortunately, there's no good way to stop it. Turning the scroll wheel or pressing any of the buttons has zero effect - it just keeps scrolling. There only two effective ways I've found to stop it. Press the reset button on the bottom of the mouse, or pick it up and crack it down on the desk as hard as you can. Strangely enough, neither are something I've ever needed to do with a mouse before.

Getting on Logitech's support forum, I noticed a thread with many people having the same problem. A firmware update was recommended to solve the problem, so I downloaded and applied it. This fixed the problem - for about 3 hours.

Today it's done it about two dozen times. On the two dozen and first time I snapped and threw it across the room and then went and fished out a wired mouse I have. MUCH better! Now to find a CORDED mouse and keyboard and toss this thing in the dumpster.

What the heck is wrong with Logitech lately? They used to be one of the top names in computers, but it seem all they can sell now is junk like this.

Customer Review: OK BUT I LIKED THE LX700 BETTER
Summary: 4 Stars

Logitech sent me this MX3200 as a replacement for my LX700 that is still under warranty but no longer available. After 3 1/2 years the keyboard will no longer stay connected to the receiver for more than a few minutes, and nothing they suggested could fix the problem. The MX3200 keyboard and mouse were already pre-connected, so all I had to do was plug in the receiver. There was no need to push the connect buttons on the keyboard or mouse, and I haven't even bothered to install the SetPoint disc. The only complaints I have are that the left-hand scroll bar doesn't work as well as the one on the LX700, and the email button won't open my IncrediMail for some reason - I never had that problem with the LX700. The keyboard is really comfortable and easy to type on - even better than the LX700 keyboard, but I have also purchased a refurbished LX700 on ebay and am waiting for it to arrive. Maybe by the time it gets here, I will decide to keep using the MX3200, but at least I'll have a choice. It says on the box that the mouse has an ON/OFF switch, so I was expecting it to have a separate switch or button on the side somewhere. Since I didn't see one and wasn't sure if the red connect button on the bottom was also the ON/OFF switch, I called Logitech Support and was told that it is not necessary to turn off the mouse as it "goes to sleep" to save the batteries when you are not using it. I guess I won't know if that's true until I see how long the batteries last. Can someone tell me how to turn it off? I would rather have a rechargeable mouse like the one with the LX700 because the original battery pack in it is still good after 3 1/2 years of use.
