Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech MX 400 Performance Laser MouseCustomer Review: nice accurate mouse Summary: 4 Stars
We have been using the Logitech MX 400 corded laser mouse for almost a month now. The mouse works fine. On the downside, one of the reasons we paid extra for this mouse was the zoom button on top. It requires too much force to depress and use it. We ended up using the zoom slider on the keyboard for zoom. The mouse is not used for gaming so we didn't bother to program the side buttons. This was probably too much mouse for our needs (internet and email for sight impaired person).
Customer Review: It Works Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned an MX400 for several years, and when it came time to replace it, I shopped around for a cordless variant to no success. Cordless mice routinely lose their connectivity, so I eventually returned to the MX400. It just simply works. The multiple buttons and side scrolling are also well placed and convenient, and the Logitech Setpoint software makes it very easy to reprogram buttons as you desire. This is the best mouse you can own, regardless of the application.
Customer Review: Love it EXCEPT For Reliability Summary: 3 Stars
I've owned 2 of these. One died in 6 months, the other started shorting out at about 6 months, but Kinda still works. I tend to squeeze mice kind of hard & I believe that slowly causes some component on the side of the mouse to die.
Other then the reliability issue, (a big other!), I am fond of this mouse, great fit for my hand & very accurate tracking. I've experienced similar reliability issues with every Logitech mouse I've owned in 11 years of computing.
Customer Review: Dependable Mouse Summary: 5 Stars
This is the second MX400 I have purchased, as I have three computers in the house. This one replaced a laser wireless mouse, but it kept having problems. I have tried wireless at work and at home and am coming back to the wired mouse and keyboard as they are proving more reliable. I also have large hands and this fits me better than most, but it is still not what I would call large. Bottom line is that this is a good mouse for a good price. I recommend it.
Customer Review: good mouse,I like the extra buttons Summary: 4 Stars
A good mouse for the money,BUT the software sucks. It installed as a
Logitech keyboard. Removed the software for now and it is recommended
by the mfgr. to do a "clean install" (like I have a lot of idle time
on my hands).MAYBE their engineers should go back to school. I've had
Logitech mice in the past and got good life out of them with out any
software issues so I wonder what happened to them. ($$$$$?)
