Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse - Dark Blue ( 931395-0403 )Customer Review: I switched from Logitech's Trackman Wheel...you can too! Summary: 5 Stars
I was saddened by the fact that Logitech's Trackman Wheel "mouse" isn't so ubiquitous. Insted of continuing to hunt one down, I bought this mouse and I really like it. It's very comfortable, has a nice heft to it, and is very precise. The USB mechanism is a lot larger than I had hoped; but this is a cosmetic issue only.
I don't own a desktop computer. I use this mouse for my notebook and didn't want one of those small notebook mice. I am delighted there are no buttons on the side of the mouse that I can press accidentally. There is an on/off switch on the bottom of the mouse to save battery life and you can zoom in and out quite easily on a webpage or other program. I tend to go back and forth on web pages and can now do this with a click of a button on this mouse.
The ergonomics are fine. I have hands on the small side and I also have "abnormally short thumbs" (so says my doctor) and find this mouse comfortable to use.
Recommended!
Customer Review: Good in theory Summary: 3 Stars
I currently own and have owned quite a few Logitech mouse and keyboard products, and know their line very well. i've always had good luck with them from a functionality, compatibility, and reliability standpoint. they typically have a good build, feel solid, have a positive "click" that doesn't require too much force, and good weighting.
That said, i'm pretty disappointed in this mouse. let me caveat that it *may* just be mine, but the wheel seems to be "hit or miss". i am used to having the wheel on my other logitech mice be very responsive for paging up and down. Each wheel "click" would move up or down 3 lines of text (default setting). With my LX7, it's not so. sometimes it is correct as above, and sometimes i find myself scrolling and scrolling just it get the page to move, like a car wheel stuck in the sand.
hopefully you will have better luck if you buy one, but keep the receipt so you can return it if you have problems...
Customer Review: Great mouse and support from Logitech! Summary: 4 Stars
My review is based on the 2 months of experience using this product.
Pro's:
1. The mouse works great and is accurate.
2. No wired clutter and easy to maneuver.
3. Battery lasts long time, haven't replaced even once so far.
4. Support call to Logitech is answered promptly with a US based call center even on weekends.
5. 5-year warranty, something unheard of in today's use-n-throw electronics world.
Con's:
1. The receiver's outer shell separated from the inner electronics after a month of frequent use (Logitech has agreed to replace this a new one).
2. The grip on the mouse could have been made more sweat resistant.
3. Mouse needs 2 AA batteries which makes it heavier than normal mice.
I would recommend this to anyone not removing/adding the receiver frequently from their laptop/PC. Otherwise look for a mouse with sturdier receiver.
Customer Review: Outstanding Product!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this product after carefully reviewing several options. After all, this would be my first experience with a wireless mouse and I did not want to be disappointed. I considered online reviews, overall ratings, and price at a variety of online vendors. I even visited my local computer store to consult with the salespeople there. My laptop immediately recognized the USB receiver and I have been in operation ever since without any blunders. There is no lagging in performance and it even has a battery-saving feature. FYI, the size of this mouse is for average to large-sized hands, so if you want a tiny or compact mouse, this is not the one for you. Even after you consider its larger size-if this is even an issue- this mouse still demands special consideration due to its multi-button features (4-way scroll with tilt wheel, page-forward & page-backward). I highly recommend this product!
Customer Review: Love this mouse! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this mouse to replace the one that came with my computer. I love it!! It's very comfortable to use and I have small hands.
The battery seems to last forever.
The forward and back page buttons are on the top and are awesome. My old mouse didn't have that (it was the original mouse that came with my Dell in 2002...yea, it lasted forever too).
Installation could not be easier. Just insert the batteries into the mouse, plug the mini-wireless receiver into a USB port and you are in business. Mouse performance is reliable and accurate (1100 dpi). It responded as well or better than a corded mouse but without the dangling wire. For full mouse function of the extra buttons, install the software (check the Logitech website for the latest version.
Definitely would recommend the LX7 mouse without hesitation.
