Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote ControlCustomer Review: Does Everything It Promises Summary: 5 StarsI could not be happier. After a simple update to work with Win 7, I had no problems setting up the remote. It controls my TV, DVD, and sound system. I have had no problems with charging the battery, I leave it on the charger overnight once a week. Some of the buttons could be larger, but that is a very minor issue. This device seems to be as reliable as every Logitech product I have ever owned. It simply works as it should every time.
Customer Review: Excellent Value Summary: 4 StarsI have found Harmony remotes to be a consistantly good value for their cost. They are easy to set up and are able to configure most consumer equipment. The customer service is not as responsive as it was just a couple years ago before they started contracting it out.
Customer Review: Great for complicated entertainment systems Summary: 4 StarsIf you have various components or simply several components this is the answer to your remote square-dance. You can control every aspect of how this remote works and what components are on/off simply by selecting what "activity" you want.
Select "watch tv" tv turns on(to the proper input)...dish receiver turns on...stereo receiver turns on(if you wish)...remote works dish box for channel, but volume controls stereo receiver. Simply with the press of 1 button.
It is fully customizable for anything and every different setup you can imagine.
This is without a doubt the remote I was looking for. No more keeping track of 4 remotes to watch a dvd movie with surround sound.
A MUST HAVE!!
Customer Review: Great remote with a poor battery and poor cradle station design Summary: 2 StarsIf you know what an USB plug on your computer is, it's a haven to set it up and use it. So, even a 6 -year old can figure out what to do with it.
BUT the good life lasts for about a year, as, progressively, the battery is retaining less and less charge after each charging cycle.
I don't know if this was caused by the cradle (poor design for the contacts) or the battery itself (even worse, mine it looks like it's ready to burst at any time).
So be prepared to buy yourself a new battery every year, cause otherwise, it's not going to work for more than 3 minutes, when the battery goes bad. ANNOYING isn't it. A new battery is everywhere from $20 to $30 or you can place a bid on eBay for ~$15, but who knows what you'll get in terms of quality.
Summary, great remote, with a CREEPY battery, good luck
Customer Review: Make your life easier Summary: 5 StarsThis is my 4th Harmony remote. The only thing you need to know about this device is that it works flawlessly and a 12 year old can set it up (easy). The rechargeable battery last about 10 days sitting on you table outside the charger, and charges in about 6 hours.
