Works great with my Tivo, TV, and Sony Home Theater system. I went from three remotes to one. The online programming of the remote takes about an hour but it is well laid out and easy to do. I don't mind spending time setting up equipment as long as it works and this time it worked great. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Confusing

I'm not tech neophyte, but I was underwhelmed with this device. I don't think it is any worse than the others, but I was lead to believe that these new Universal Remotes are nothing like the old ones that I personally felt were more trouble than they were worth. While, better, I didn't feel this was worth the effort to learn a new remote.

It seems a lot of the negative reviews of this remote are from folks who didn't feel like spending the time it takes to customize this remote. What a shame too, because this thing is a godsend. It controls my TV, Xbox360, cable box, and DVD player exactly as I want it, and the customization makes this thing almost priceless. USB updates, etc.. this thing even controls my somewhat odd NAD components and my Playstation Two, and i didn't have to type a thousand little product codes into the keypad to do it. big thumbs up.
all my components were defined through the internet, and Logitech stored the info and programmed my remote through the PC software. it's a great system in terms of staying up-to-date and all, plus, when i requested something specific, Logitech made the change for me. all i had to do was re-synch the remote.
once i figured out how things were organized, i was able to program some very specific changes that worked really well on my setup. i'm very pleased.
if i have a concern, it's that Logitech retires the product or protocol and that i won't be able to program the remote any more, since it's so reliant on the internet interface.
