Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech G25 Racing WheelCustomer Review: One of the best gaming purchases I have made! Summary: 4 Stars
Let me get the flaws out of the way...
The shifter is well known for feeling flimsy, having unnecessary clicking noises, and failing to delivery like the wheel and pedals do. This is an important aspect of racing just like the other accessories are. The shifter needs much improvement!
The pedals COULD be stiffer and vary in pressure, but that is me nitpicking after many many hours. Additionally, the wheel grinds and is very noisy. Don't expect to play quietly while someone tries to sleep.
The good...
The wheel and pedals perform great on both the PS3 and computer. I play racing sims mostly and the G25 has managed to improve my lap times and more importantly my enjoyment of the games. The pedals stick to the carpet and don't move regardless of force applied. Shifter and wheel clamp to everything and don't budge. Response is very good and I don't notice any input delay. Force feedback in the wheel is strong and manages to vibrate my entire 100+ lb. racing cockpit!
The next iteration of the G25 - the G27 - is coming out soon. I imagine they'll improve on some of the flaws.
Customer Review: Good as they get Summary: 5 Stars
I've been driving a Logitech Momo (black) for about 3 years, and loved it. Until now.
This new wheel, pedal, and gearshift set is, in a word, awesome.
With 900 degree wheel rotation, stronger force feedback, a clutch, and gated shifting the level of realism is unbelievable.
Did you ever want to go racing, but couldn't afford the time or cost? With this set and Live For Speed, GTR2, rFactor or (one of these days?) iRacing's as yet unreleased programs you can. And after some practice "in the privacy of your own home," you can go online and race LIVE with folks all over the world. You heart WILL pound and you WILL sweat!
Okay, maybe I'm weird, but at 60+ I still manage to find time to race 10-15 hours a week! And there are no long, tiring drives to the race track, no hotel and food expenses, no long waits for the other classes to get off the track, and no long drive home with a wrecked car on the trailer behind you. An hour behind the wheel is an hour racing.
I have a heart valve problem and there are times I wonder if this is really safe after all!
Customer Review: Good While it lasted Summary: 3 Stars
Well I bought the G25 six weeks ago and things went pretty well. The installation was easy, The wheel has plenty of features and the only problem I had was that my desk has a rounded top edge and this caused the wheel and the shifter to not clamp well enough to keep from rocking. The clamps on my old MOMO reached further back and didn't have this problem. But the wheel worked fine for about six weeks. Then I noticed that the center location of the wheel was drifting left or right while racing with the wheel. It would be centered at the start of a race, but would be 90 deg off by the end of 1.5 hours of racing. Annoying, but not desastrous. Now the wheel no longer works at all. The pedals and buttons all work fine, but the wheel outputs NO SIGNAL to the game at all. I have racer friends who have the wheel and have not experienced any problems of this nature. I tried removing and reinstalling the software, but this did not help the problem. I had to get my "Old" MOMO from the attic in order to race. I will have Logitech replace the wheel and hope it was just a problem with this particular wheel.
Customer Review: Greatest racing wheel ever Summary: 5 Stars
Recently got this for christmas and was totally floored by it. I had a few racing games that I used to play with my keyboard but that didn't evn come close to what you could pull off with this wheel. This is a very high quality item, as shown by the metalic and leather trim used on various parts. The reason I decided to go with this one other than the others it because of the shifter, which I'm glad I did. I tried setting the shifter to sequential like the other wheels and I even tried using the paddles but it just wasn't the same around a track. Although I will admit that the paddles are better for drag racing than the shifter. The motors are sweet and pack some serious kick, but the nicest part of having the force feedback is that you can feel when your tires lose their grip or when the road surface changes. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants to play racing games.
One more thing...thanks to the clutch pedal, I was able to teach a buddy of mine how to drive a manual car without risking him messing up the clutch on my real car.

Having owned a cheap MadCatz wheel for the older Xbox, it was time for me to try this top of the line G25. Love Logitech products, so I couldn't see why this one couldn't be good...
Having played GTR2, rFactor for a bunch of days, all I can say is AMAZING. The clutch and the force-feedback is really great. The main reason why I bought this wheel is because of the clutch, and the 6-speed H-shift pattern.... makes driving a true pleasure, and the games that require a clutch that make full and serious use of the G25, makes driving really exciting and immersive.
The quality of the wheels is top notch, having owned some Momo wheels in real cars (Like a Subaru) ... this one feels like the real thing.
Great construction quality. Clamps down to desk solidly, and pedals have grip on hardwood surfaces. Haven't tried it on carpet.
For a true driving simulator, don't miss on this wheel. You gotta have it to use the 6-speed manual and clutch, though, otherwise, you might as well get the other cheaper wheel.
