Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard (Black/Silver)Customer Review: Covers every base really well - one ergonomic shortcoming Summary: 4 Stars
The keyboard covers all the bases from game keys, favorite keys, macros, media - you name it. Everything works flawlessly and as per design. Easy to use interface.
The only short coming, at least for me, is that the underneath adjuster legs that allow its far size to raise up are WAY too small. Raises it only a tiny amount. Almost useless and a suprising thing for them to gloss over. I need a keyboard to be angled more downward toward me and these lifter legs are only about 1/2" - if that.
Also, this is not a shortcoming, just an FYI. It took my brain a while to adjust to the extra 4 inches of keys on the far left side of the keyboard. Over years, your brain gets used to where keys are relative to the end of the keyboard and my fingers keep gravitating toward the far end of the keyboard and mistyping. Its kinda hard to describe, you will see ;^)
But overall, this is slick, sleek and well made!
Customer Review: Excellent for the Gamer and Internet User Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best keyboard I have used. The price range is just about right for this keyboard. The keys themselves are very soft and very nice to type with and they light up blue with 2 different dim levels. You can turn them off if you want to , but then you can't see the keys unless it's really light in the room. It has a nice volume control with cd play controls. It has so many customizable G buttons that you won't find enough things to run them with. I have used some as my email address and I just push like G1 and it types it in. This is nice if you type your email or name a lot in forms. It has 2 USB ports on the top which you can attach USB anything which is great, best thing I've seen on a keyboard. This is just a great keyboard overall and definately worth investing into if those cheap 10 logitch and microsoft keyboards keep breaking on you, or you need a great gaming keyboard.
Customer Review: Great keyboard even if you don't game !!!! Summary: 4 Stars
This keyboard has a great feel to it. The keys really feel like the old IBM keyboards back in the good old days. The lighting on it feels really good, it is not hard on the eyes, and has the nice option to turn it off during the day.
From a gamer view the keyboard works almost flawless, the profiler software is really easy to use and has worked with almost every game I have unless it's a really old one or a bad port from a console.
The media controls are really good and since they light up you can use your media player in the dark.
My only complain is that the USB ports on this device are not USB 2.0 so this limits the type of objects you can connect, even my Kingston Flash memory doesn't work as good as it should, otherwise this will get a 5 stars.
The keyboard is really large so if you have a small desk or don't have much space on yours I wouldn't recommend it.
Customer Review: Nice Board! Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great gaming keyboard. The G11 is organized with a keypad of 18 customizable keys in an easy to reach position. Fun to play games such as WoW or TF2 with it. Also includes a gaming slider to prevent accidental return to desktop using the windows key.
Basic keys and media keys will also work out of the box with a Macintosh; although 3rd party software such as ControllerMate will be needed for the mode and G keys.
All in all, if you are running on a windows machine, I would recommend the Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard as it is essentially the same keyboard but with an LCD display. The Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (Black) is also similar, but with better lighting and less G keys.
Customer Review: Perfect keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a new keyboard to replace my wireless one since I was getting tired of lost connections and changing batteries (I know not everyone has these problems are cares about this, but wired is my personal preference).
This keyboard is great. I have yet to find a game that I really need to use the extra 18 keys off to the left of the keyboard, but it can never hurt to have extra. The only thing I will warn about is that it took me a little bit to get used to typing. The keys are just a tiny bit closer together, and I use the Escape button often so I just automatically reached for the top left of the keyboard and hit G1 instead of Escape. Not a big deal since it did not do anything though.
My favorite feature is the backlite keys. I can now easily type in the dark without a problem. There is also a toggle to turn the lights off or have them dim.
