Customer Review: Spectacular Keyboard For Your Mac! A MUST Buy!

Last weekend (on my birthday, no less), I managed to get a few drops of a soda on my old Apple wireless keyboard. In over 20 years at home or the office, this has NEVER happened to me. I wiped up the very small wet drops, turned the keyboard upside down, and waited for it to dry. After a few hours, I tried the keyboard and everything worked...except for one slight problem: the "I" key was stuck! No matter what I did , I could not get the key to work at all...and I knew that since I was in the process of writing a novel in the first tense (where you tend to use the letter "I" just a bit more than usual) I had to get a new keyboard , plain and simple.
I already own many other Logitech products (the MX Air Mouse, and the Harmony Remote among others) and have been more than delighted with their performance, I started looking at this rechargeable keyboard as a suitable replacement. I was never happy with the feel of the keys on ANY of the Apple keyboards, and I had tried out a diNovo keyboard in a store a few months ago and really enjoyed the feel and touch response of the keyboard. After doing some further research on the Net and reading other customer reviews here, I decided to go for it...and what a fantastic decision that turned out to be!
As I mentioned before, they touch-response of the keyboard is absolutely stellar; it feels as if you are typing on a cloud, and your fingers have no feeling of wear and tear on them like many of the other standard keyboards do. They layout is easy to use, and the hot-keys that are on the very top row of the keyboard are laid out logically and in a very easy to use fashion, opening many of the Mac-centric products such as Mail, Safari, and iTunes and well as iPhoto, Spaces, and Spotlight at the touch of a button. You can simply return to these applications by pushing on the appropriate button and switching from one application to another and back again. A VERY nice feature indeed! There are also buttons on the keyboard controlling the volume of the system via a touch slider that lights up as you slide your fingers up and down it to show you the volume level. Additional controls for iTunes are present, so you can stop play or move forward or backward to the next/previous song. A one touch button also puts your Mac to sleep for the night too.
There is also a track pad that can be used as a mouse, and although I currently don't use it, I can see where it might come in if I ever had to hook up to a laptop or another computer with the diNovo. The software was extremely easy to download and offers you a choice to assign different functions to different keys. Bluetooth recognition was a snap, with my Mac recognizing it within a few seconds. The design of the keyboard is simply gorgeous: elegantly slim, shiny, and black with a touch of chrome that will perfectly accent any of the newer iMac models (I have an all white late '06 Intel 24" iMac...but this still looks great with it!).
All in all, a highly recommended keyboard. As usual, my only complaint with the newer keyboards is a lack of a number pad (I used to work a lot in Excel and build databases in a former job, so I'm used to relying on the number pad a lot). Perhaps one day Logitech can put out a number pad to go with this keyboard and match its elegant style as well.
Highly recommended for desktops or laptops, this keyboard is the one to get if you are a Mac user looking for a replacement keyboard...search no further, and pick up this wonderful piece of art!
