Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Deluxe 250 Vista Qualified USB Keyboard (Black)Customer Review: Nice keyboard Summary: 4 Stars
I wanted a nice, simple keyboard without all the
extra controls for volume etc.
This one is pretty nice. The keys have a pretty good
feel to them, and there are no problems at all when
you press down on the very edge of the "wide" keys
like the space bar or the Shift keys.
The thing that's kind of weird about it, is that you'll
swear that the keys seem "close together". I took a
piece of paper and put it over a regular keyboard,
and marked several of the key tops, and took it over to this
one and compared them, and they are exactly the same.
It's kind of picky, but the marking for the forward slash
key looks more vertical, should be tilted some more,
other than that, it's pretty good.
Some people commented on how certain key tops aren't indented,
but they all seem fine, doubt you'll notice it.
Customer Review: Sturdy but uncomfortable. Summary: 2 Stars
The keyboard does what it promises. It's very sturdy and looks like it will last a long time, but I have a few issues with it:
The keys are very loud. Some people disagree, but this is the loudest keyboard I can recall using.
Another thing that bothers me is that the keys are much harder to press than I'd like compared to previous keyboards I've used. Its a strain on my hands, but they're very small so others may not have the same problem.
Another reason for this may be that it's a fairly tall keyboard with no room to rest your palms, and my hands are forced to be angled upwards. (rather than comfortably above the keys.)
Maybe it's because my previous keyboard was particularly quiet and easy-to-press, but I really don't care for the features of this keyboard. It's just not comfortable for me.
Customer Review: Great for what it is Summary: 5 Stars
It's a great basic keyboard. I had my previous Logitech for around 6-7 years and the spacebar was beginning to stick. It had a few media keys which I never used so I figured this would be a nice "upgrade".
All in all the keys have a nice feel. The first thing I checked when I got it was to see if the keys "stuck" if they were pressed at a slight angle. Cheaper keyboards tend to be like this, but this one doesn't suffer such a cheap feel. Keys easy to press with good feedback. Not too stiff, not too soft. The keyboard sits very flat on the desk with no wobble or anything. It's relativity quiet... Yeah, just rambling about the stuff that SHOULD be common among all keyboards, eh?
If you just need a basic USB keyboard, you can't go wrong with this one.
Customer Review: Plug and play Summary: 4 Stars
When my previous keyboard broke, I needed to buy a new one ASAP and I didn't have much money to purchase a better one. So, when this came up on my search results, I took a closer look at it and read some reviews. After I was satisfied with what I saw, I went ahead and bought this budget keyboard. It's actually not so bad. It may not have shortcut keys like my last one did with Mail, Internet, and Volume, but it worked well enough for my needs. The keys are slightly quieter and don't "click" as much when I press them. This also works on my Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii consoles. Just plug it into one of the USB slots and it'll start working instantly.
I've had this since late March of 2009 and I've had absolutely no problems with it since then.
Customer Review: Logitech Deluxe 250 Keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a new USB keyboard to use with a new laptop. I started shopping around and found the Logitech 250 for around $7-8 at one of Amazon's sales partners. I had used some of the odd Logitech mice in the past and they never felt right to me so I was a little hesitant. I think the total cost was about $12, including shipping, so I bought the keyboard. Once I tried it out, I fell in love with it. It has just the right tactile feel and is very quiet. I like it so much that I am probably going to buy a couple more to replace old keyboards that the lettering has worn off. I would replace the old keyboards even if the lettering was fine. I hope that this helps someone who is worried about the low cost of the Logitech. Happy shopping!
