Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless Number Pad for NotebooksCustomer Review: Very nice keypad Summary: 5 StarsLike seemingly everybody else who reviewed this number pad, I'm an accounting student. I use a netbook for portability while I'm at school, and entering figures on the top row of the keypad is enough to make anyone pull their hair out. I throw the keypad in my backpack full of books and the netbook, and I'm good to go. The carrying pouch is a nice touch, padded, and actually surprisingly high quality; I don't worry about damaging the keypad when it's in with other stuff. The action of the keys is very nice, and the keyboard is very nicely constructed. I looked at several other products before purchasing this one, and a deciding factor was the double width 0 key. The tab button is wonderful. My biggest gripe is the fact that the number keys can't double as directional buttons. If there was a way to toggle num lock off and on, I could move around in my spreadsheets without having to shift back to the netbook keyboard. I often enter data with my right hand while holding the keypad in my left since I have some mobility issues, so having to set the pad down and move to the netbook's directional keys is a pain. Seems like that would have been pretty simple to incorporate into the keypad, but alas. One further gripe: the dongle is huge, by modern standards. It stores nicely inside the keypad when not in use, but I wish it was one of those mini dongles so I could just leave it plugged into the netbook all the time. Regardless, I'm convinced that this is about the highest quality number pad available, currently, and it's SO much better than using the top row of the keyboard.
Customer Review: Logitech at its best Summary: 5 StarsAs my job responsibilities continue to grow, I found the need for a number pad for my home laptop. After searching the internet for a few weeks, (I rarely buy on spur of the moment)I narrowed my choices down to this one. I have owned many Logitech products and felt good about making this choice due to past experience. The keyboard is very easy to operate and offers tab and back keys which I use quite frequently. It also has a separate calculator function along with a button to take you into an Excel spreadsheet. The number pad is heavy enough not to slide around during use and has a tilted, ergonomic design. I very highly recommend this item and at an Amazon price...this thing was a steal.
Customer Review: logitech number pad Summary: 4 StarsShipment of this product was really fast. I unpacked and installed the usb transciever and windows 7 updated and installed the drivers fine. Added the batteries but had trouble getting it turn on, after several attemps it started to work fine. The auto boot for Accel works very well as the turn on feature for the calculator. The buttons respond well and it feels comforable when in use. Only complaint was several weeks later when I tried to use it during our unions audit it would not turn on. After getting back home and replaced the AAA battries it was working fine again. This may have been caused because I did not get the pad turned off correctly. Although I did press the button to turn it off. I think if the power drain problem doesn't continue I will be very happy with the product.
Customer Review: Good Product Summary: 5 StarsI have had no problems. The only thing that I wish is that the receiver would be smaller.
Customer Review: AWESOME! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this item a few months ago and have been extremely happy with it. I havent used it long enough to have the battery die on me yet. I am in college (accounting major) and it is awesome to pull this out and have no cords. A lot of people who see me use it are jealous...hahahaha. I would recommend this to anyone who crunches numbers with a laptop.
