Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave SetCustomer Review: Excellent desktop set Summary: 5 StarsI've owned many keyboards over the years mostly Microsoft but including a Logitech a few years back. My present set-up, a basic wired MS business set, was working fine but I felt I wanted something newer and better. After research the Logitech Wave seemed a good choice -- and I'm highly pleased with it. It's quieter and more solid than the MS system. It has a useful range of additional keys. The MS was 'clacky' by comparison.
One feature of the software I like is the ability to disable Caps Lock - no more unnoticed strings of capitals. NumLock and selected other keys can also be disabled.
I adapted quickly to the Wave layout; it seems easier to type with compared to the MS keyboard. I don't have difficulty with the larger Delete key. The wrist-rest is not detachable -- this is fine although it does make the keyboard fairly deep.
I had a MS wireless keyboard in the past but this is better. The USB transmitter is small and works fine out of sight behind my PC. An extender is supplied if you should need one.
I'm left handed so I need a symmetrical mouse, which this is. It's more responsive than the MS mouse and has an on|off switch underneath to save the batteries. The batteries supplied were high-quality alkalines rather than the cheap Chinese zinc-carbons often supplied with this type of gear. A minor issue with the mouse is that I tend to click the 'back' button accidentally when going for the left button. I did this on the MS keyboard too so it must be me -- I have large hands.
A quality product, well designed and a good price. I'm happy to reccomend it.
Customer Review: Overall good, just a couple issues Summary: 4 StarsThe only thing I don't like about this keyboard is the non-standard configuration for the Insert\Delete\Home\End\Page Up\Page Down keys. The mouse is also good. I like the side buttons for navigating back on the Internet, but they are possibly too easy to click. When I first got it I was clicking them accidentally all the time.
Customer Review: Wireless Beauty Summary: 4 StarsThis keyboard works great, the fast access keys make the work on your computer extreemly easy. The signal strength is always good and the battery life is a plus
Customer Review: Great Keyboard & Mouse Combo Summary: 4 StarsThis is one of the best products I have purchased & would purchase another one if I had another computer. Well worth the money spent.
Customer Review: The freedom of wireless..........yes!!!! Summary: 5 StarsI bought the keyboard because I wanted to free myself mainly from the mouse wires. The comfort of the design is super. Functionality is excellent and I have to disagree with the size issue. It is about the same size of any full featured multimedia keyboard. The mouse is comfortable to hold and the control is excellent also. The only complaint I have is the programmable button on the right. The factory preset is L button for "back" and R button for "Forward" when navigating in the internet. I had to assign no action since I kept hitting the button with the inside of my finger. Other than that is a great set and I recommend it.
