Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech Cordless Desktop Comfort Laser (Black)Customer Review: logitech cordless keyboard. Summary: 5 Stars
I love the keyboard. I can use it wherever my mood takes me. it's very easy on my hands. I have fibromyalgia and there are times that it mimics carpal tunnel, but this keyboard it so sensitive to my typing that I don't encounter the resistance in the keys that another keyboard would have.
the accompanying mouse is very easy on the hands. I like the way that you can see onscreen what the life of the batteries in the mouse and keyboard is and I like the way that you don't have to reset the mouse or keyboard every time you change batteries.
The mouse kinds made me a little crazy at first because it has these little buttons beside the thumb rest that, when bumped, will take you back to the last heading. I am writing a book and I was constantly being "bounced" back to the beginning of the chapter I was working on. But it was easily resolved by putting a couple layers of tape over the button so it wasn't so sensitive.
Now my only problem is that when my twin grandsons want my attention, they think it is quite the game to grab grandma's mouse and run with it.

I used to have a Microsoft keyboard with the natural split and this keyboard blows away the Microsoft version which is about twice the cost. The shortcut keys on this thing actually work, unlike the Microsoft version! Not only that, they are further programmable through Logitech's SetPoint software. The wristrest is very comfortable and it even has some extra, handy, buttons that you woudln't get with other keyboards, such as a calculator button. The mouse is exceptional and even more programmable. Unfortunately, I already have Logitech's MX Revolution mouse, which is also amazing. I use a similar Logitech setup at work and thus far I haven't found any significant problems to throw them out.
Overall, this set is the set to have if you wanted a split keyboard. The only drawback is that it's a bit tall, so if you want to type without pulling the keyboard drawer out, you might want to look toward getting the DiNovo set. I don't think I'd wander far from Logitech products and I definitely won't go with another Microsoft set in this lifetime.
Customer Review: great keyboard, decent mouse Summary: 4 Stars
Update: I wrote the belwo when I first got the product, however after using the mouse for a bit, the middle click button loosened up. I take back my complaints below, all is good now.
The left and right scroll built into the scroll wheel makes it close to impossible to click the scroll wheel button. I tried reassigning the left and right scroll buttons to server as the middle click button (a cheesy fix, but something i was willing to live with), but Logitech does NOT allow these buttons to have this particular functionality. I can reassign the buttoms to just about any other functionality, except the one I actually want. I emailed Logitech, and they said the request would be sent on to the appropriate team. I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. They didn't sound like it would be addresed any time soon.
The keyboard works well. I had the previous model that was incompatible with Windows Vista. That was the only reason I upgraded =(
I'm starting to get annoyed with Logitech
Customer Review: The perfect keyboard Summary: 5 Stars
I went through 5 keyboards before finding this one. I can't find it in any stores, but found it on amazon!
This beats the Microsoft Natural hands down. The keys feel much better when pressed. The space bar isn't really "tight" feeling like it is on the MS Natural. The mouse is also very nice.
I haven't had any problems with connectivity or dropped keystrokes as long as I keep the hub for this keyboard and mouse somewhat close. However, it is a hub with a long cord for a reason. I find that the further I move away, the more missed keystrokes I get. I think people are simply misunderstanding what the cordless feature is for... It's not so you can walk around your home typing and using your mouse... it's not WiFi. It's simply to help get rid of the clutter unnecessary cables. Keep the hub less than 1 or 2 feet from the keyboard and mouse and you'll be fine. This shouldn't be too hard with a typical computer desk where the actual unit is almost always less than 1 or 2 feet away for easy access.
Customer Review: Everything it promises Summary: 5 Stars
I got this keyboard as a way of trying to get rid of the pain I had in my shoulder. I did my research before I purchased, and knew exactly what I was in for. The split keyboard can be difficult to deal with if you're not used to it, but I had one of the very first such keyboards a long time ago, and it totally removed the pain I had in my wrist. The split here is less than I was used to.
I am very happy with the keyboard, but less so with the mouse. It's around here somewhere, but I have another Logitech mouse I use instead. In fact, I switch between another rechargeable mouse and a corded trackman both from Logitech. I just didn't find it to be accurate enough, and I kept tilting the wheel all over the place, and it felt a bit "plasticy". Will recommend the set if you don't have a wireless mouse already, it's just that I already have a mouse that cost more than this set put together.
As a bonus, my pain is gone too (combination of many things, this included).
