I'll keep it short - Logitech makes great computer accessories. You won't find a better mouse for this price range. This is a laser (not "ball") USB mouse that works on virtually any Windows operating system. I'm using it on Windows 7 right now. Just plug it in! The scroll wheel is what you would expect, as are the left and right click buttons. This mouse is very responsive (I didn't adjust the settings at all). The construction quality feels a little "clicky" but it's a budget mouse. The Logitech 3 Button USB Optical Wheel Mouse is the Hyundai of mice, if you're looking for the Mercedes check out the Logitech Performance Mouse MX.
