Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Logitech 2.4 GHz Cordless Presenter (Black)Customer Review: Experienced User Summary: 5 Stars
I work as the head of Training & Development for a $1.3 billion company, and I've trained thousands of hours worth of workshops. I use a company supplied remote that was about $116. Recently I bought this $48 Logitech 2.4 GHz remote for my wife to use in her business. All I can say is that I like it TIMES better than my expensive one. It is well thought out and designed and worked straight out of the box, first time and every time, with no fuss or "installation". It has several features that my expensive remote doesn't have, and it simply works much better. I especially like the on/off switch, so it won't waste batteries if a button stays pressed for days because it was mashed in a crowded case.
I recently went to the IT Purchase guy at my company and told him that from now on, he should skip the expensive models and only buy the Logitech for our trainers. If you try it, you'll love it too.
Customer Review: Regional Sales Manager Summary: 5 Stars
I learned about this wireless tool as I watched a presentation just before mine. I asked her if I could borrow it for my own presentation and shazam, I was free from the tether. Used to use my long wired remote mouse but still had to wander back to the laptop and take my eye and attention off the audience. With this presenter in hand I can "work the room" and stay focused on the crowd. I can blank the screen and go forward and backward. It has a laser pointer and a timer that lets me know on a buzz setting (or stun, as I like to say). And it's small so it fits in the palm of my hand still allowing me freedom to gesture as needed. The USB thumb-drive-like wireless link sets inside the end of the device when not in use and there is a nice little soft case to keep it cozy in my computer bag. I consider it an invaluable part of my presentation tool kit.
Customer Review: 2 Years of Use and Still Working Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this item two years ago; and I still use it 16 - 32 hours per month.
This item has traveled the world, been dropped, tossed, abused, and it still works just fine.
The battery life is incredible. I've changed batteries two times in two years.
The only complaint I have is that if you use it enough, you will accidentally hit the volume up and down buttons which will then make your computer change volume and beep.
If you want something simple and is a basic presenter - this is it.
I've tried the high-tech in-air mice Logitech MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Air Mouse, Kensington's presenters, the Microsoft presenter mouse, and I always keep coming back to this one - it just works.
Customer Review: Love This Thing!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely LOVE THIS THING!!! I use it in a classroom and it works flawlessly from every angle... even from in my pocket across the hall! I love the case and that the antenna stores seamlessly in the back. Amazing product!
The timer feature is a bit gimmicky to me and I could live without it. The 5-minute-only increments make using it kind of pointless and I tend not to feel the vibration when Im heavily into running my mouth, but that's just me.
Plug it in and it just works out the box flawlessly on XP, Vista, OS X, and Ubuntu Linux using PowerPoint and OpenOffice Presenter since they are just simple keymappings. Likely works in Keynote too but I havent tested that yet. I've even re-done the keybindings in VLC so I can use it to navigate through DVDs. Works great!

Customer Review: Great Presenter Summary: 4 Stars
I needed a cordless remote for an oral defense of a Master's thesis. Though the Logitech is more expensive than most, the timer feature was the selling point. If you have timed presentations than this one is for you. The remote counts down after you set your desired time and vibrates at 5-minutes-left and 2-minutes-left. If you do not need this feature, it may be worth going with a cheaper version???
However, I found that the remote worked seemlessly and quickly updated when I used it on new computers for the first time. I felt the laser pointer on mine was not as sharp as I had seen on a couple of my colleage's (seems to have a slight separation in the beam so the "point" is not as sharp, but it works just as well).
I highly recommend this product for those avid presenters.
