Customer Review: Very Good adapter !
Summary: 4 Stars

It takes me a little frustation before everything is connected wirelessly but that because I am novice and first-time user, also installing and configuring everything by myself. Anyway, the adapter works very good and efficiently with linksys WRT54G2 router. If you don't have experience setting up, it is important that you get router and adapter from identical manufaturer, chances are that they work for you with less tinkering. Love the wireless connection, it makes hometheater and computer enjoyment even much better. Follow steps in the installation CD, and play with it till it works ! To those who said bad or giving up on this adapter, I have nothing to say but a surprise, cause this is a very good product and serving well to your purpose. Safe and Secure

Customer Review: Ok Performance IF you avoid Software
Summary: 3 Stars

I just bought one for home use, but bought one for work over a year ago. I installed software that came with it and newer version on the web and had nothing but trouble. Once I got it working it would stop working after restart until you take it out remove drivers and put back in. THEN I decided to just use windows built in wireless zero config. Removed software put adapter in and no problem since. Its range is a bit lower than I expected, though it does have to go through solid brick walls (School) to get to router. If you buy this I'd suggest manually installing the drivers (point to drivers on found new device) and ONLY the drivers rather than running any program from the CD as many seem to have issues with the included software.

Customer Review: Great Product but.....
Summary: 3 Stars

Windows it works fine.... but only after I bought it I discovered it takes some effort to get it to work under linux. Linksys does not support Linux very well and there is no support for this product under linux. This leaving having to use ndswrapper to make it work. Native support would be a welcome addition to this device. My Windows PC is directly connected to my network, but I am building a Linux system and it not tied into the network yet as I keep having to run a cable to it to get it online. Thus I figured a wireless adaptor would work for me till I can configure my workplace to have both systems nearer together to be wired. Turns out that not possible.

Linksys should be ashamed they do not support Linux!

Customer Review: Complete garbage
Summary: 1 Stars

I attempted to use a WUSB54GC adapter on a Windows 2000 system which runs a (low-bandwidth) server application at startup. Unfortunately, not only does this unit take 1-2 minutes to acquire a DHCP lease -- meaning there's no usable connection when the server process is launched -- but it tends to drop the lease at random intervals once acquired. (This is in a well-characterized WiFi environment with no interferers and other reliable client installations nearby.)

Installation is poor as well; I had to uninstall and reinstall the device before its configuration service would start properly.

In short, the WUSB54GC is a real piece of junk... not recommended under any circumstances.

Customer Review: Your Decision
Summary: 3 Stars

My Wireless-G Router was giving me fluctuating connectivity. I was advised to buy this USB 2.0 and Wireless-G Adapter, as it claims to deliver data rates up to 54Mbps. I did not find that my connectivity data rate went up, but the connectivity was more stable, meaning uploading was not necessarily faster, but more predictable. I tried using it with the five-foot cord and moving it around. There were definitely some spots that were better than others for even reception. However, I can't say that I am convinced that this Adapter really made much of a difference other than making the connectivity more even. You can take that either way. If the price doesn't bother you, then it can`t hurt.
