Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Cisco-Linksys WRT610N Simultaneous Dual-N Band Wireless RouterCustomer Review: Good to go Summary: 4 Stars
This router performs as advertised. It broadcasts two different signals: b/g & n. The biggest problem that I had was the built in firewall that is set "medium" security as a default. The setting is in the firmware, and you must use the software to change it. None of this was made obvious during setup. I had to contact linksys customer support to get it where I wanted it. After that, it's been fine.
Customer Review: Continually drops connections and the N never worked Summary: 1 Stars
My main purpose in writing this review is to confirm everyone else's bad experiences with this product and help bring the overall rating down to what it most definitely should be. It just doesn't work. Continued dropped connections and very low signal with N.
I'm finally biting the bullet and buying another router because I can't keep dealing with the problems. Not recommended.
Customer Review: Support Stinks Summary: 1 Stars
My router works well, but after the router has run for a week, it will not allow me to log on to it. I get an invalid IPC address error. The Linksys support team have been completely useless in resolving the problem. They seem to have support script that they follow, and if the problem does not comform to the script, the customer is out of luck.
Don't buy this product.
Customer Review: What hardware version did everyone received from Amazon who ordered the WRT-610N the last couple of months? Summary: 4 Stars
For almost two weeks now, I have asked Amazon to ship me the version-2 of this WRT-610N. I spoke to their customer service and none of them has gotten back to me to guarantee that I'll receive the version-2. Has anyone received an old version-1 (no on/off switch at the back of the unit and the S/N starts with CTG01 instead of CTG11 for version-2) from Amazon since the past couple of months?
Customer Review: Nice router Summary: 5 Stars
After few years of using it I can say that it is one of the best routers out there, but you do have to know a bit about networking, just a few thing that you have to put in manually. Nothing any of us can't learn. So in more than 2 year I can confirm that is very reliable, no drops, good distance I get connection from about 20 yards that's the furthest I tried. Overall I would by it again.
