The product worked great right out of the box. You can plug it in after the computer is already booted up and it will give you a connection without rebooting. Performance is the same as the previous adapter. Saves an extra pcmcia slot on my laptop. I've only had it for a short time, but it has worked flawlessly. I bought one of these things for an underpowered internet appliance - With a Cyrix 200MHz MediaGX! :) I'm happy to report that it works very well, even on this snail. I'm able to go on the net, and transfer files back-and-forth to my other computer without a problem.I've also used it to transfer big files between a friends computer and mine. Very handy!

I rate this product excellent for what i needed it for. I was hooked up through tivo through dialup, and man that was a pain. This allowed my phone to be free and use broadband which i already had, so much faster, i dont even know when it updates anymore because it does not interfere with anything anymore, so if you own a tivo, this is a must have.Customer Review: Works with Tivo Boxes!!

I got it, plugged it in (No USB cable came with this) to my Tivo's USB socket and to the network in my home and by the time I had sat down to make the setting changes on my tivo, it already picked up an IP address from my router and was connecting to update my tv guide.. no more busy lines or messing about with phone cabling.Customer Review: Plug and Play in Ubuntu 9.10

I bought a bunch of these USB adaptors to use when built-in lan adaptors fail in my computers or those of my customers. It's a nice quick and easy way to wired internet working again. Of course we all use the amazing Ubuntu OS, and these work right away without installing drivers (plug and play!)
