Cons: This does not work with my HDTV.
I got this cable to hook my Samsung UN55B6000 HDTV to my av receiver. After getting everything connected I was excited to test it, only to find that my TV was complaining: "Mode not supported". At first I had my av receiver set to the input of my Playstation 3. After having changed cables, and tried various configurations with my cables I came to find that this cable actually works some of the time, just not in the configuration that I need.
If I had my tv hooked up to my av receiver with this cable, and my receiver hooked up to my PS3 with this other cable:HDMI (2 meter) 6 foot cable HQ 1080P 1.3b, I got the message "Mode not supported" (oddly it would flash the screen of the Ps3 for half a second every couple of minutes before displaying "mode not supported" again). If I turned my av receiver off of the ps3 input, then I could successfully get an image of my receiver's setup screen. If I cut out the receiver and hooked my tv directly to my ps3 with this cable, it said "Mode not supported" again. But, if I use the 6ft cable hooked directly between my ps3 and tv, it works fine. Also, if I use this 25ft cable between my ps3 and my HDMI switch for my PC, it also works fine. It seems to have to do with the combination of my tv, my ps3, and this cable. I don't know what it is, but now I have to go get another cable in order to hook everything up. (And this cable is so cheap that it isn't even worth it for me to return the item... so now I'm stuck with it.)
Conclusion: This cable may work great for you, but it probably won't work if you have a setup like mine. If you like the thrill of gambling, then go ahead and buy it, otherwise look for a different cable.
